I know not everyone on here reads the Harry Potter books, but it is know official. JK Rowling has revealed that the beloved and much admired character Albus Dumbledore is gay. The backlash and the admiration for her act has been pouring over the internet ever since last night. She said in the interview, that the books were about learning tolerence, and part of the reason she had done her, what can be seen, as a radical act.

I'm confused are you just venting or are you in support of what she did? I read the post over on yahoo yesterday. Since I'm really not into H.P I could care less. I'll keep my personal views to myself not wishing to offend anyone here at the Verse. But are you upset, are you happy? I can't tell for your post. *smiles*

I'm in support. I think it was a brave thing to do, because a lot of the more narrow minded people in this world already tried to burn her books, and she's going to lose a lot of her fan base from this.

I've just been wondering what the reaction was when Joss Whedon made Willow fall in love with a girl and if any of the fans of the Buffyverse left because of it.

for me i was like what. but i could see why she turned to a female, though i never bought the fact that she is gay. i believe willow is bisexual. and i loved tara regardless.

I also believe that Willow is bisexual, and Tara was a great character.
