I stumbled across a couple of  Beta communities on LJ today and thought it might be helpful for those searching for a beta to have a list of places (other than the beta list here which Dia is in the process of revamping) they can go to find one.

Other than Riters_R_Us, I am not a member of any of these communities and can't vouch for them...I just thought the links might be helpful to people who are having difficulty findng a beta.

I belonged to one beta comm, don't think its on the list. May be dead. I didn't have really good luck there anyway, sort of soured me to doing searches for betas on LJ. Because one of the only responses I got was the girl who was helping me the beginning of BoMB and didn't seem to understand being feral and I got tired of explaining every single "Egypt" reference. *hangs head* But I did finally find good betas, sometimes if you mention it in an AN you get really nice readers who offer (and those were my best betas :) )

 Great links.  I have found a beta at fandom_betas in the past for my non-spuffy story.  She is a gem and is still helping me after 12 chapters.  The list of willing betas for btvs is still small yet.

And of course riters_r_us is great for writing tips and such.  I found a willing beta there for my Spuffy story and I can't wait to work with her when we are both ready.  Thank you slaymesoftly, for putting riters_r_us together and posting such helpful "stuff".
