The only reason I'd worry, is not knowing where Spike is moving on *to*. If it's a good place, then...
I do like seeing Buffy learn she can't order the universe around.

Shame to see Spike be brusque with Dawn, but he doesn't know her. She needs to get him to stop calling her Watcher, though. It's just rude, since Buffy has told him who Dawn is.

I have a feeling the Powers have a plan for once Spike releases himself.

YAY I am finally able to catch up!  One of the first places was to seek out the updates to this story.

I love how original it is.  I don't think I've read another with post NFA having Spike tied to Williams house in this way.  Interesting that it is a sort of deal between W&H and the Powers.  I have a feeling that the info from W&H is far from reliable though.  Good that Buffy is aware of how easy it might be to lose him all over again....then again she might just become bitca Buffy to keep him from remembering how he feels about her thinking it will keep him here.
Wonder if his moving on to the next plane would be different from her vision of oblivion and more like Shanshu though...hum....

Love that Dawn is discombobolated with the relationship she has vs. the one she once had.  She should remember that SHE was the one to change their dynamic and never fixed it before he burned in the hellmouth.  Hope they can reclaim their closeness.  Clearly Spike feels it or he wouldn't have cared about the make-out session on his couch!

Really wonderful story on all levels.  The plot is tight and well articulated, the character voices are spot on.

Great Update - I think that his next plane might not be as horrible for them as Buffy might imagine - Spike could use some "pay-back" for not getting in touch with Buffy and Dawn after he became corporeal.   Still, I do think that his time with Angel and the AI Team was a good thing for him - not the dying again, but where there is magic their is some hope for not having him face his final death.

  And of course the unfinished business had to be Buffy... and what will be the key for him to be released from the House and "This Plane"..
