I enjoyed the tug of war over Joyce, and it's a nice change of pace for Spike and Buffy to get along at this time in canon.  They may be bickering, but her ogling did not go by unnoticed.

I just found this story... and I LOVE it!

More particularly I love Buffy being greyer and more adaptable than what I read in the standard fic.  I liked her actually listening to Spike concerning Parker and turning a blind eye to his petty thievery.  I also liked Buffy deliberately choosing to ruin Parker's car.  I'm pretty much bored with all the sanctimonious, inflexible Buffys by now.  Your new Buffy lives, she breathes. 

And Joyce... love your Joyce.  She comes across as such a real person as opposed to being some St. Joyce, "Champion of Spike" at the expence of her own daughter.  (Personal pet peeve.)  She's not a cliche or at all cardboardy.  *sighs in contentment*

I'm assuming the Giles and Xander crap will eventually show up and I'm looking forward to seeing how your Buffy deals with that.  Why she lets the men in her life and their opinions and views have such a gravitational pull on her at the expence of her own on your standard fic has also gotten old.  Hopefully, I will once again be delighted and surprised by your version.

This story seems interesting. Loving the Buffy/Spike jealousy thing.

Too funny how they bicker over Joyce (like a pair of siblings!  "Mom loves me best."). 

So glad to see this updated, I am enjoying it so much. 

Glad they are keeping Giles out of the loop at the moment.  Happy Willow is helping though because they need someone with a clue of decyphering old tomes if he has a prayer.

The bantering was fun; but even with Spike being helpful researching they didn't find much. As determent Buffy may be not to let Spike die, it doesn't look good.
