I'm a sucker for a time-travel fic and this first chapter was really good. Love the unique twist with Anya. I'm looking forward to reading more and seeing how you have it all play out.

First of all, excellent concept for a fic. Also, excellent execution. And I’ve read so many post season 7 fics (mine included) that considered a Spuffy reunion inevitable if she knew Spike was alive. But you dealt with Buffy’s issues after the Angel finale in an unpredictable, and yet, extremely realistic way. I liked the fact that Buffy knew Spike was back, and yet never tried to contact him. It makes a lot of sense. I'm looking forward to seeing where this one goes.
Thank you! I've tried to reconcile Buffy's attitude in season 7 with how she acted the rest of the time, and concluded that once Spike wasn't around, she'd have probably just moved on. Though I could never write a Spike-less post-NFA fic. :) Not unless if I knew there would still be spuffy, like here. :D

What an imaginative take on time travel! And I'm right there with you on the ick factor of Buffy/Xander sex...

I'll probably update Monday. It's already written, so no worries! And Buffy's reason will be explained in the next chapter. My reason is cuz it's more fun this way :D~!

I love it. Please provide plenty more at the earliest opportunity. I can't wait to see Buffy trying to play matchmaker for her younger self. Or everyone elses perspective on "Anya". Great concept!

Here's something I'd like to see, and feel free to use any of this, or none of it: As Spike says, magic always has consequences and so far Buffy's getting way too sweet of a deal... hehehe
As a result of whatever Buffy does to try to get her past self together with Spike... it ALL goes wrong! Like say...
Spike realizes just how badly Buffy is treating him and says to hell with her... and notices "Anya's" makeover. :P
Spike notices "Anya" being in love with him and trying to hide it or he discovers "Anya's" attempts to get everyone to start treating him better and starts falling for the new and improved "Demon Girl"
... imagining Xander's reaction alone would make it all worth it and seeing Buffy trying to juggle dealing with Glory, trying to save her mom, giving her younger self a much need wake-up call, and having to try to steer Spike back to "Buffy" !
Oh what a tangled web that'd be!

Funny that you suggest all this! Some of these aspects I've already toyed with in the second chapter, and others I've been considering for a while :D! So expect certain elements that you wanted to see in later chapters... :)

What a fun idea! Maybe this time Buffy will actually come to appreciate poor Anya. I love all your stories, but this time I have one suggestion: in the next chapter give a reason why Buffy cannot tell them who she is. It seems like telling them would be the simplest way to getting their help, so tell us why she is pretending to be Anya and even went home with Xander.

I was hesitant to read this because of the premise, but I thought "what the hell" and gave it a try. I'm glad I did. Really love it so far. And you put in an AWESOME obstacle to futureBuffy changing the past - no one would listen to Anya. Can't wait for more.

Well this is original. The possibilities for misunderstandings and the resulting hilarity are endless. I'm worried about Anya... has she gone to be in Buffy's future body and if so is FutureWillow working to fix it? Good for Buffy to see how Anya was marginalised and her knowledge largely ignored. And of course Anya is possessed... by FutureBuffy! Can't wait for the next installment

Thank you! Actually, one stipulation of the challenge is that they CAN'T find out until the end- it's too easy otherwise! But hopefully, Buffy can make the other Spuffy couple so happy together that he won't need to hear about the future to know she loves him :)!

Oh dear, poor Anya (wherever she's gone) -- and Buffy's only been there five minutes and good old Xander's going to get Willow on the mojo! Interesting start.

Very interesting premise... Buffy finds out just how poorly Anya was treated. And thank you for negating the Xander sex. Buffy (even in Anya's body) / Xander makes me want to heave. Can't wait for the next chapter.
