Ugh, Riley! That line "Unless you give me a reason to stay" says it all IMHO.
Ugh, Riley indeed! I hated how the show gave Riley a hero's sendoff, right after he was exposed as a cheater and a coward who just gave up instead of sticking around...

I really enjoyed the end of this chapter. Loved how Buffy went to the crypt.
Glad you liked it- Riley got off way too easy in the actual show. They gave him a hero's sendoff when he was really just being a coward :(

Lot of good scenes - you should have extended out that Buffy cleaning Spike's sucking chest wound.
Lol I wanted to, but I was already laying on the Spuffy a little too thick, a little too soon. :D Thanks for reviewing!

This is becoming one of my favorite WIPs. Possibly the only way it could be better is if it actually was Anya trying to play matchmaker and confidant. Not that future-Buffy isn't very enjoyable, as she most definitely is. In fact, never mind. Actual-Anya wouldn't be better. Though I do think that would have been fun too.
OMG you're totally right *wishes there were such a fic because it would be hilarious* :D except Anya would probably end up pretty OOC in a fic like that :(... But thank you! I'm glad you like it!

Awesome! Another great chapter. The Buffy as Anya and Spike interaction is so adorable. I love the connection between them and yet not sexual chemistry. You've done a great job on writing them. Looking forward to more!!

Another great chapter, with a lot developing. Xander and Willow had a funny scene, but Willow talking with Anya at Spike's showed her feelings and thoughts that fit her character really well. I love the friendship developing between Spike and Anya, but I'm a sap who thinks friendship is important in a romantic relationship. Spike's thinking of Anya as a mellower Buffy shows off hsi insight and his obliviousness at the same time.
I love how things are going and I can't wait to see how this story moves forward. Great premise, writing, and chapter!

Thanks! I tried to keep it all pre-Triangle Willow, who really doesn't like Anya at all, but I hope she didn't come over as too mean... Spike and Anya!Buffy do have a really fun relationship...things would be so much easier if we were just pairing them up ! :D But I do love softening up S5 Buffy to Spike... :) Yup, Spike gets it without getting it. But why would he ever guess that it wasn't Anya? :D
