Gosh, how I love this story.  Wonder what Buffy will do with the knowledge that there was no spell on them when they got down and dirty.  She'll probably pull a typical Buffy maneuver and attempt to ignore it.
I'm sure she will, but you know Spike, he's isn't going to let that happen!  :)
