Excellent Chapter - but what a drastic surprise twist  you made -   Nice they way you bring in the character traits for Xander and Spike from the show.

I have enjoyed this story from the first - thanks for bringing such an outstanding new addition for all the Spuffy fans to enjoy.

Another close call for Buffy, hopefully one day they'll be able to enjoy a little peace!

Woooo I thought it was the wife of the dead vampire or something and Buffy was the target!  Big surprise (YAY you...you completely surprised me).  Will be interesting to see how Buffy handles protecting her new family against her old friends.

Glad Mya put Xander into a place where he had to look at what he was saying and finally understand it was just not right even to him.  Good for her to pull him up to the man he can and should be and out of his reflexive nastiness.

Excellent!

great update!  love future Spike:  you've developed a rich and interesting character.  I especially love his relationship with Mya. So funny, smart and REAL!

Probably helps that Buffy hasn't tried to be motherly at all even by accident. And when your parent is alone a long time, you want them to be happy. Especially when you're growing up and moving on to your own adult life pretty soon.

Wood bullet, eh? Bummer.

Love the banter.  It provides some comic relief after the "Buffy died again" scare, but doesn't detract from the seriousness of the situation.

Also, I've been reading this story, but haven't commented in...well, literal years. :-P  But I have been enjoying it.

So glad to see this. Thanks for updating. I love that Buffy is able to recognize Spike's need to take the blame for everything - and the part she may have played in that attitude.
