This chapter is sooooo much better than canon on the whole Riley confrontation.

Thanks!

Whoa!  She did it after all.  Very impressed but worried about Spike getting hurt in the blow back.
Of course she did!  Thanks for reading :)

Please keep writing, we are begging för the next chapter!
I haven't stopped writing, believe me!  I'm glad you are looking forward to it, and the next chapter will be done when I have the chance to sit down and write it.  Thank you :)

This was so worth the wait!

I love this story! It's so real and strong, and powerful.
I'm glad to hear that!  Thank you very much for your lovely words.

I think im in love with you, dear author. Please post next chapter soon and make sure she apologizes to spike a lot ;) love it!!
Well, I'm glad you like the story!  Buffy's as much a victim here as Spike is, with Riley having the questionable behaviour, not Buffy who was just trying to protect her mother.  Thank you for reading!

Powerful stuff. Not sugar-coating Buffy's confusion and desire to have her normal boyfriend; and her admission to herself that Riley was what he'd always been, and that she had never loved him.  I hope Spike doesn't do himself too much damage before she can get to him.
Thank you so much :)  I'm glad you liked the chapter, especially the parts of Buffy's realization/admissions.

Glad to see more of this story. “You love the idea of me” - that's their problem in a nutshell. Buffy loves the idea of "normal" as personified (she thinks) by Riley, and Riley loves some fantasy Buffy that he's dreamed up, and neither one exists. The sooner there is some distance between them, the better, but I don't see Riley meekly giving up and leaving. And that can't bode well for Spike. Could one of Riley's vamp-ho friends decide she's extra hungry and drain him dry? Please?
You'll just have to wait and see!

Thank you so much for reading and for your comments!

Its good, liking it.
Now, more importantly, where have you been?! I've been enjoying this one so far...I was afraid you'd dumped it.
I'm glad you are enjoying this story.  Thank you for taking a moment to review.

As for where I have been, this is my answer:

I work full time, twelve hour shifts that include both days and nights and are hell on creativity, especially as my workplace has recently undergone some significant chances that make it an increasingly stressful place of employment.  I also have a family, and don't get many chance to write on my days off.  With the holidays there was even less time than usual.

I promise you that I will not "dump" this story.  It will be completed, but please understand that I usually am unable to update quickly.  Thanks in advance for your patience, and I hope you'll stick around for the rest of the story.
