"And by hurting him, you’ll piss me off even more. Nobody gets to hurt that bleached jerk but me!" I love this line!! Buffy getting all possessive and protective about her vamp!! Completely awesome moment!! :)

And the Amazon calling Buffy, Spike's mate?! Absolutely fantastic!! Then we have Buffy getting all jealous over someone else getting intimate with Spike, this part just kept getting better and better!! :) And then, Buffy finally discovers the truth of whose name it was that Spike called out at such a pivotal moment!! Bet that blew her mind to the moon! Mind you, my absolutely favourite part was that despite her confusion over Spike's motives for involving her, Buffy realises that she trusts Spike!

Buffy's line of "Don’t you think you’re overreacting a little?" and her follow up of "Chill out" was rather funny when you think about what her reaction would be if Spike ever dared to call out someone else's name whilst he's with her!! Can't you just imagine it? (Not that Spike ever would of course!)

Then we come to poor, unfortunate Spike. I must say, I completely empathise with him - there's nothing worse than being trapped in a dark, enclosed space! I could completely hear him saying that line of "Shaking in your knickers at the sight of a real Big Bad?” - that's our Spike, offensive and mouthy to the last!

I also liked Spike's reaction to the options put before him - come up and face a bunch of vicious enemies or stay in a dark, dank place for all eternity! Geez, I wonder which one I would choose?? I really enjoyed your descriptive writing in the scene where they take him to the place of judgement. Very intense and dramatic. And I love how he's so concerned for Buffy! You have to love a guy that even though he's facing imminent death or torture can still find time to worry about the safety of his girl!!

Spike's rather impudent comment of "Made her come, didn't I?" was so typically male and sounded just like something Spike would say!! For someone who can have so much tact at times he really can put his foot into it!!

I positively cringed when Spike got whipped! That was totally uncalled for, he couldn't even defend himself!! I so wanted to leap into the computer and take my vengeance out on those unholy cows!!! I bet Spike was worried there for a moment when he heard Buffy was the one to pronounce his sentence! But then you had that lovely silent communication happen between them! Happy spuffy moment!!

*GULP* How did you think of those three choices??!! “Removal of intestinal organs, cutting off the testicles or gouging out the eyes and the tongue." My word, those are scary options!! Just out of curiosity, I wonder which one Anya would have chosen. I was in complete hysterics over Spike's reaction to the choices. The whole "Surely she had some kind of elaborate plan" to the embarrassed acknowledgement of his plans not being "exactly foolproof" to the frightened male response of "Oh bloody hell, he loved his testicles!" was simply delicious!! And then having Spike cringe when Buffy laughs and has them repeat the second option (and then choosing that one!!) - oh that was just plain mean! I think Spike was traumatised enough!!

I have to wonder how Buffy felt at hearing Spike scream in pain. I know how I would feel - to quote the famous Homer (Simpson that is!! LOL!) "urge to kill rising!!!" But then that is me and I do have Celtic blood running through my veins! Knowing Spike he would have used that pain as an incentive to keep on fighting. He certainly used it to fuel his frustration against the Amazons, leading to a rather gruesome result. Nice to see him enjoying himself though!!

The reaction of both Buffy and Spike to the hordes of Amazons descending on them was brilliant! Spike laughing and Buffy saying "I don’t think I thought this through.” And what a note on which to end the chapter - Buffy and Spike standing back-to-back, surrounded on all sides by ferocious Amazons, and the only weapons between them a dagger and a chain (oh, forgive me, I was forgetting, Spike already had his weapon - his fangs!!). I can so picture this scene in an episode with the last shot being Spike, eagerly awaiting the oncoming storm with his fangs gleaming and a chain dangling from his fist. Magnificent stuff!! You deserve a medal for such an awesome cliff-hanger! Although my nails will not be thanking you once I've chewed them down to the bone!! :)

Once again, oh lovely writer, you astound me with your skilful writing and I anxiously await the next chapter to see how our darling duo will get out of this predicament!!

Awesome that you liked it!! It made sound Buffy really proprietary, but I’m sure Spike wouldn’t mind. Nope, he wouldn’t mind at all. ;)

Buffy was jealous as hell. *grins* She totally wanted a throw-down and sort it out like two chicks should- ripping out the hair, biting and scratching. Women can be really vicious. Hee… Buffy’s mind was definitely of the blown variety. And all this time she thought Spike used to have only hatred for her… nope, silly Buffy, he’s always wanted to shag your brains out. They came a long way since then though.

Haha, Buffy would be furious!! As you mentioned, not that Spike would, but he’d suffer horribly if he did. ;)

I figured Spike would have been traumatized by the whole waking up in your own grave thing so I used it. Just the idea of it gives me shudders! I think many people aren’t fond of tight dark places.

Haha, indeed! Spike’s a fighter so of course he’ll choose conflict rather than sitting around doing nothing. That’s not in his nature. And thank you so much for telling me you liked the description. That makes me very happy!! :) And you know Spike- always thinking of the girl before he does for his own safety. So heart melting!

And he didn't even say that to rile anyone up. :D He was just stating the fact. *g* Spike's mouth always seems to get him in trouble, doesn't it?

And not noly he didn't deserve it, it hurt liek a bitch. The Amazons are demons in nature so Spike definitely felt it. :( But no worries, they'll draw a shirt straw in this. They stand no chance with Buffy and Spike forming a united front. :) Besides, Buffy has a plan! Better her than Spike or they'd be screwed. lol

Quiet gruesome those options. I had to think of something that wouldn't kill Spike but create an incredible amount of pain. I got inspired by Middle Ages. I mean, they used to remove the organs of the victim, then burned them in front of his/her eyes then axed their head off. *shudder* I bet Anya would have chosen the testicles (plus penis) option, no contest. For her, being unable to have orgasms would be the worst thing ever! Poor Spike would have been white as a sheet if he could. ;) Buffy does have a plan but she didn't exactly seem 100% confident. Spike was indeed traumatised, but you'll liek to hear Buffy will make it up to him in her own way. :)

Haha, for amoment there I was afraid you were quoting the actual Homer. *grins* Phew, what a relief. ;) Homer Simpson is so much more fun. Oooh, you are part Celtic? Interesting!! :) But yeah, they've got quite a fight on their hands so you can expect some action in the next update. Both Buffy and Spike have been itching to let out their violent sides to play so we'll see how they manage. :)

You're so awesome. :D The odds suck but Buffy and Spike are nothing if not fighters- they won't run scared! Spike will need all the weapons he can get since he's already been injured. Sorry aboutt he cliffie. But you know you love it. ;) Let's hope you'll like the follow-through. Action scenes are hard to write!! But lots of fun too. :) Hee... don't chew your nails, gorgeous!! I cannot have that upon my conscience. *g*
