Yeah. Angel.
I get frustrated with the Angel character, but I really think you are writing him well. This seems like exactly what Angel would do.

I wanted to smack Angel a lot of the time, but he had some qualities that made him a fascinating character.

Oy vey!! Surely Angel(us) and Wesley aren't actually contemplating bringing them back. I was thinking (and hoping) they would be able to trick Satan and get themselves out. More please.
