That was a very long tease... I really liked this story as a whole, with the 'slutty Slayer blanket' and drugged up Buffy as the absolute highlights. I laughed so hard at the latter that my abs got a great workout. You catch the interaction between them pretty much spot on.
This review is actually the best thing ever, THANK YOU!! Lots and lots. Nothing makes me happier than knowing you enjoyed it and had fun reading. :)

That was really good. I hope there's a sequel.
Thank you!! I'm glad you liked it. :) No sequel though, I'm afraid. But I've got a smiliar (Buffy and Spike stuck together) themed fic over at the Elysian Fields, if you want to give it a go.

Just read this whole story in two days! Loved it1 You write beautifully!
Wooo, you're fast. :D Thank you for the wonderful compliment, Sita!! It made my day.

I really enjoyed what you have done here. I read the hole thing start to finish with just a small stop for some much needed sleep. And I have to say you are such a tease with all the will they wont they stuff! But I really loved it. The hole stumbling drunk to her door was good but the random wanting of the ice cream and the passing out bit was truly brilliant.
That’s so sweet of you to say! :) Knowing you read it in two big gulps makes me really happy. I tend to do that when I really like a story so it’s awesome you did that. Ah, the teasing. I’m evil like that. ;) But I do love the people that can appreciate a good teasing. Hee... drunk Spike is too much fun to write! Of course he’d be hell bent on getting that ice-cream, silly vampire that he is. Thank you for reading and reviewing!!! :D You rock.

Ok can i just say i really extremely loved this story. This is one that grabbed and kept my attention from the very beginning. The only other thing i have to say is thank God for some authors that actually know how to write properly.
Yes, yes you can. I love hearing that you loved my story! :D And it's even greater to hear you liked it from the very beginning. I appreciate you giving the story a chance especially since I know most people don't like to read WIPs. And 'lol' to your comment about proper writing. I really can't say I'm great because I'm never satisfied with my writing but it's really awesome to hear you liked the way I wrote this fic. Thank you so much for the wonderful review!!! :)

To misquote Spike from this chapter - 'this story "was bloody great"'!!! :) You have taken us on a rollercoaster of emotions in this story - the highs and lows of which have been spectacular, heartwarming, chilling, exciting and of course extremely dangerous to our blood pressure!! ") You are to be congratulated on such a magnificent piece of writing (and for such a mammoth effort!!). Your skills have grown all the way through the progress of this story and it was thrilling to accompany you on this journey! :) (And I'm proud to say that I have not missed reviewing one single chapter!!! Yay me!!!)

The waking up scene was everything for which I could have hoped!! I especially liked Spike's way of proving his "manly" status!! He can prove it to me anytime!! ") And Spike "covered in chocolate ice-cream" = mmmm, yum!!! I'll certainly have some of that breakfast treat!! :)

I loved the part where Buffy reveals that she told her friends about them and Spike's reaction! He is just so cute!! Love the line "I thought Willow’s head would explode when I told her you could make me… you know… even with my clothes on." I can just picture how inflated Spike's ego (and other parts of his anatomy) would have been upon hearing this!! :)

The image of Spike, half naked, holding an egg and at a loss in the kitchen had me in absolute stitches!! :) And then acting like a young teenager when Joyce catches him was just beautiful!! His calling her "Mrs Summers" and then promising to "clean the floor up" made him seem so much like a young boy I could just see him scrubbing the floor with an earnest expression on his face and blonde curls falling into his eyes!! And his mental panic on whether Joyce might have an axe handy was simply brilliant!! A normal reaction, I think, in any boy found by a girl's mother, half-naked in her kitchen and making breakfast for her daughter who is currently still in bed and fully naked!! :)

Joyce's "motherly" talk about her dreams for Buffy came off very well and I'm sure most mothers would empathise with her view! But the thing I believe that she would most likely have appreciated about Spike's reaction to her attempt at making him let Buffy have a "normal" life was that he didn't cave like Angel did. Spike came out fighting for his relationship and made the valid argument that just because someone might seem like the right choice because of their situation (or who they are) doesn't mean that they will make you happy. His tag on comment of "Once I figure out how to make a bloody omelet" had me in giggles!! Poor Spike, he's faced Slayers, countless numbers of intimidating beasts and other nameless horrors (including Angel, oops sorry, Angelus!!) and he's defeated by a mere omelet!! :)

"You know, I like you better than I ever liked Angel." - Exactly what every boyfriend wants to hear from his girl's mother about the ex!!! :) And having Spike wanting to flinch away at Joyce's threat? I can totally understand his reaction, considering the first time he met her his head made the acquaintance of a rather deadly axe wielded by her hand!!!

Getting the go-ahead from Joyce to stay in the house with her daughter to continue certain activities of a highly censored nature, now that is something Spike should mark in the history books!!! And I love his theory of "Not taking advantage of an empty house and naked Buffy would be just wrong, so since he’d converted to be a goody-two-shoes he might as well be really, really good." I completely agree with this statement!! Well done Spike on becoming one of the good guys!! Enjoy all the benefits!! ")

I was right, I was right, I was right!!!!!!!! Sorry, I got a bit carried away there!! But I love it when I'm right!! :) Joyce was with Giles (imagine hearing me sing this like an annoying teenager!!) I thought it would be him that Joyce was getting all dolled up to see and I'm so glad I was right! They both deserve some happiness!! :)

The sacrifices Spike makes for love! Revealing details of his "humiliating" past to Giles must surely be one of the bravest things he has ever done! It's never easy to open up to other people about things that you find shameful or embarrassing, so for Spike to do this with someone who could easily misuse the knowledge just to try and develop a better relationship with them for the sake of their daughter-figure, shows how much he loves Buffy.

The interaction between Spike, Xander and Anya was brilliantly written and could easily make someone think they'd stumbled across a lost scene from an episode!! I especially liked Spike encouraging Anya's frankness!! Oh, our Spike is still evil!!! :)

Buffy has certainly lost a lot of her inhibitions about overt expressions of affection in public!! Spike has certainly made a lot progress in that area!! I loved how she is the one that initiates the makeout session and the whole byplay that the two indulge in, they are such a perfect match!!

Ohhh, goodness!! I wholeheartedly agree with Buffy's "Spike, please." That scene had me feeling quite hot under the collar (and other unmentionable items of clothing!!). Thanks for another lovely spot of spuffy loving before this story ended, it was certainly much appreciated!! ") I must say, I adored the description of "Buffy was a canvas and he the admirer stricken by the red of her passion painted in broad uninhibited strokes tangled with the pure white of her soul and heart." Pure poetry!! :)

I loved the part where Buffy just wants to look into Spike's eyes!! I thought it was possibly the most beautiful moment in that scene! And that wonderful line of "He was the one who would always be waiting for her at the end, her other half" had my heart turning all warm and fuzzy!! :)

"Tell me I’m yours." - The most giving and unselfish thing Buffy could have said. Not "your mine" or "I'm yours", but actually inviting Spike to make the claim for himself!! That girl has finally grown up!! :)

"By stumbling drunk to her front porch nearly eight months ago he’d set his own fate in motion." - Goes to show, you can never tell what is just around the corner of your life (or unlife!) and that sometimes the most beautiful and wonderful things that can happen to us occur by chance or accident.

Having the exchange of "I love you" being the last words either one says was a perfect way to close on this story (and is how it should have ended on the show!!!), plus Spike's joy at fully realising that Buffy has chosen him over everyone else was truly heartwarming! That man needed the love of a good woman and he finally got what he deserved! And Buffy? Well, she got what most women would give just about anything to have - the love and devotion of a gorgeous, sexy man that puts her wellbeing and happiness before his own!
:)

"Unlife was bloody great." - Short, to the point and honest. Exactly how Spike would put it and a marvellous way to end a simply outstanding story!! This story has brought me so many happy moments during a time when I faced many upheavals in both my family and working life so I thank you most sincerely for providing me with a place where I could escape from the harsh realities of life and just forget everything else apart from the joy that is spuffy!! I wish you all the best for your future writing endeavours (including those awful essays that no one ever really wants to write!!) and I know that you will continue to inspire and entertain many others in the future with your fantastic writing! You are truly fantasmagorical!!! :) (I just had to use that word again - it was the only word brilliant enough to describe you!!)

I shall now close off my last review with an answer to your A/N: "Spank me? Ohh, turn-on!!" - Of course I'm picturing myself draped over Spike's lap!! Who else would it be?! ")

Hee… that’s very Spikelicious of you to say. ;) And aaaah, all the lovely compliments… I just want to scoop them up and cuddle them like they are fluffy little kittens! :D How was that for an analogy? Lol   And I have to congratulate you on reviewing every chapter!!! :) I really appreciate it especially because people on BSV review less than on other archives. I always looked forward to your opinion!

Oh yeah, Spike’s manly status is quite… impressive. ;) Of course it would drive thoughts of food-- other than a chocolate covered Spike—out of Buffy’s head. I would have that for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Buffy is very good at stroking Spike’s ego, isn’t she? Among other things. *g* Poor Willow getting the not-so-blurry watercolours of Buffy/Spike experiences.

Haha… that’s exactly how I wanted him took like, like a boy caught with his hand in a cookie jar. :D Wrath of a mother—especially one that already clocked him with an axe of all things—sure puts fear in a man’s heart. Vampire or not. Lol It was definitely a good thing Joyce already knew from Buffy that Spike was her boyfriend or she’d probably freak out.

I’m happy you think so! :) I did try to make her in character as possible and every good mother would be concerned for her daughter in a situation like this, even if Buffy is the Slayer. She only wants Buffy to have a good life and be happy, after all. But Spike did have a point, as you said. And a great observation about that comparison between his and Angels’ reactions when faced with Joyce’s arguments. :) He’s not one to give up and leave, making decisions for both of them.  I’m happy you liked that omelet line!! :D I can’t imagine Spike would know how to make one since as a human he certainly had a cook and why would he cook as a vamp?? Unless he was doing frying the onion flowers. Lol Fighting is definitely less of a challenge that cooking eggs.

Haha… that does leave quite an impression, I have to admit. Not every day a woman in her forties whacks a vampire over his head. Looks like it runs in the family. ;)

He certainly did appreciate Joyce leaving them to do their own ‘thing’. ;) Looks like being good sure does have its advantages, and Buffy reaps the benefits.

Hahaha… you sure were!! :D And I can relate, since I LOVE being right as well!

You said it so nicely. :) It was quite a sacrifice to reveal things he thinks of humiliating just to get closer to Buffy’s father figure. Hundreds of positive points for him there!

*beams* Thank you!! I have to admit I had blast writing that interaction. And of course Spike would prompt Anya for details since he can see how embarrassed Xander gets. Lol He’s gotta get his evil where he can!

Yup, no more hiding for Buffy. If she wants to kiss Spike that she’s going to do it and the others just have to deal. :)

Hee… I knew you’d like that particular scene! After all, Spike aims to please. *waggles eyebrows* Speaking of the line you liked, I thought of it when I was shopping for groceries. LOL I wonder what would people think if they knew what nasty things I had on my mind when picking snacks. ;)

I love making you heart fuzzy! Yaaaay! :D

You’re so clever for catching that. The way she phrased it was on purpose. :)

Best things usually happen when you least expect them, don’t you? Never when you’re purposely seeking them out.

Indeed! They both found happiness in a place where they’d least expect to find it. I always wanted Spike to be loved by someone the way he loves them but Joss is too mean to allow it. Lol So here enters fanfiction. ;) Place where both Buffy and Spike get their happy ending.

Hee… I love that you called my story ‘outstanding’! *blushes* Makes my heart very squishy. :) And I can’t be happier to hear I provided a moment of relaxation from your real life! It’s nice, isn’t it? To read fics and just stop stressing for a while about all the things you have to do and deal with in RL. Lots of luck and happiness to you!! I’m very happy you enjoyed this story. :D

LOL! Look who’s naughty? ;) I wouldn’t a little spanking myself if it was Spike dealing out the ‘punishment’. Thank you so much for all the amazing reviews!!! :D I really appreciate it.

Part of me is sad to see this story come to an end but the other very large part of me is happy to see it come to such an amazing end! I love your story and followed you from beginning to end. It was nice to see your characters take shape and grow over the course of your chapters. I also enjoyed the end showing Spike working to make his life fit into Buffy's so they could be together and it be easier on her. I love this ending with it being months later and they are still in love and still have growing to do together. Thank you for this amazing story!
That's exactly how I feel about posting the last chapter! Kinda sad it was the last chapter to write but happy and accomplished to have it finished. :) And I couldn't be happier to hear you liked the ending! I appreciate you following the story especially since I know it sucks reading a WIP and having to wait for updates. You're awesome! I did try to tie all the loose ends in this chapter and I hope I didn't miss anything. lol Also wanted to give you guys a glimpse of the future and how Spike fit with Buffy's friends. :) Thank you for the delicious review!!! :D I really appreciate it and I'm happy you liked the story.

LOVED it!  (please don't spank me...) The Amazons were funny, the stuffed animal was so sweet, Buffy telling everyone is SO the way the show should have gone.  The scene w/Anya and Xander at the end made me laugh.

Haha... I won't since you asked so nicely. ;) And knowing you loved the story makes me very happy! You're so awesome for mentioning all these thing you liked in the story. And I agree, Buffy should have fessed up and I think they would have been okay with it. I think she didn't want them to be at that point. Happy you liked the Anay/Xander scene! I had fun writing it so it's good to know I'm not the only one amused by it. lol Thank you for this delightful review!!! :D
