Super update. Looking forward to Buffy's reaction to Riley's betrayal and his excuse for selling them out. He's putting them all in danger, wonder what the army bigwigs are up to.
Despite what the military said I never thought they would just go away quietly from Sunnydale. They never stopped hunting demons so surveillance on Sunnydale and Buffy especially made sense. At the end of season 4 we found out that they knew all about Adam before hand. Who is to say they wouldn't try again at a later date?

Happy to see the update! This is just getting better and better, hope there will be more people taken by suprise when they hit Spike!! Maybe Angel???
Alas Angel will not be making an appearance in Sunnydale.

Oh boy, Xander is never getting rid of that new nickname and somehow I don't think Spike is going to let it go for a while. :) Thanks for another wonderful chapter and the story is progressing very nicely. I can't wait to see how you'll write Buffy's reaction to the truth about Riley. Something very painful for him I hope!!! :)
Oh yeah Spike isn't going to let go of that any time soon. Riley is his own worst enemy.

Buffy knows of the problem so why was she acting so ignorantly? She gets so worked up about Spike being in the house etc that she forgets the deal going down by the Initiative and should watch her words.
I'm not sure what you mean. Buffy doesn't know anything about what Riley is up too right now. Only Giles and Spike know. Giles hasn't told anyone yet because he isn't sure where the military might have placed their spy equipment.
She didn't freak because Spike was in her house. She freaked because she saw Dawn hit him. Buffy got zapped when she did it. She assumed that Dawn would too. That's what had her rushing in. She didn't want Dawn to get zapped.
