I like both the peace and the boon that Spike was gifted with because of his willingness to gain his soul again and his willingness to sacrifice for the world. And for Spike what a great gift, even more than his freedom, the forgiveness of one of his victims.

Very interesting take on S6 and onward. Why does the First get to have power again? It originally did because Buffy was resurrected, making a weakness in the Slayer line that it could exploit. This is a different experience, with Buffy's death prevented in the first place. Or has it been building strength since Xander resuscitated Buffy in Season 1. It doesn't like souled vampires, though, as evidenced by it's playing with Angel.

Is she going to get mad? I hope not
