Wow, that's intense. Those last few chapters have me biting my nails.

I love where you're going with this story. You started the series with something small, not involving anyone but the Scoobies, and then it builds and builds - all the way to the world-wide evil conspiracy. Brilliant work, especially how you foreshadow the "big" stuff in the "small" parts of the series. ;) And there are TWO more stories to go after this one!

Now I'm looking forward to the gang going medieval on Sam's lying butt. BTW, Sam's a great villain. :)

Oh it was a good think Spike was there and Mr. Michaels called.
Well, if Spike hadn't been there the soldiers wouldn't have attacked, but, yeah...

Thanks again.

Oh thank you, I had forgotten about the orbs, geez. Great that Michael's got help for them. Almost too much excitement for me. I can't stand for my boy to be in pain, at least not for very long. Great job, Fine read thanks.
Hee! And that's just what I was hoping most readers would have done. Have to say I'm not keen on him being in pain myself, but then I'm the one who sputtered and didn't believe it when AlwaysJBJ (who kindly posted the earlier bits of this here for me) suggested an angst classification for this... 'cause I'd never thought of myself as writing angsty fic. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Thank you!

you know, i actually feel the tiniest ittiest bit of sorry for riley, since he really didn't know...must be quite a shock to find out his wife wasn't who he thought she was...great chapter :)
Thank you, honey!

I have to admit that Riley is one of my least favourite characters, and the main reason that I didn't have him being complicit in the whole thing was that it felt too predictable. It's not that I don't think with a bit of brainwashing from Sam that he wouldn't have been capable... but then it's not as if he's going to walk out of this smelling of roses.

Oh, Spike...LOL...love that brain..

Awww, poor Riley just found out he's been used and double-crossed...

A train?
Spike ...is just Spike, and always will be. Buffy might polish off a few rough edges with time, but he's never going to fundamentally change.

Poor Riley, indeed. :D

And, yep, a train... Tara was doing a location spell, remember?

Very dramatic! So glad Buffy kicked Riley's ass!
Thanks, honey!

It's not as if we could let Riley get away scott free after trying to shoot Spike, is it?

Glad you liked it.
