I'm taking it that Tolkien's books have somehow been missed by the Scoobies? There were LOTR mentions on the show once the movies were coming out...Anyway, nice filling in of the blanks around daily life and structure. As thorough as Tolkien was, he didn't have space to cover certain things, with having to focus on the Fellowship's perspective.
Yeah, that's true, but most of those comments were made in Season Seven when Andrew did so much to bring out Xander's inner (barely hidden) geek. Before then, not so much...or so we're assuming for the purposes of this story.
That could have been another interesting take on this idea though...they end up in Middle-Earth, knowing the story and not knowing what to say or do to prevent screwing up the ultimate victory. Hmmm.

I just got a chance to read this, and I think anticipation to the next chapter might be a little hard on me!
I know it's been a while since you wrote this, so I hope the anticipation wasn't too bad. Will try to get future chapters out quicker. Enjoy! :)

i like the setting you've created here...very intriguing, whimsical sort of air to this story, and i like it a lot...can't wait for more :)

Ok... if you keep doing this my praise is going to get old really fast! How many times can you call something brilliant before the praise will bore you do death? *gniffle* I really love this... and somehow... it fits... Spike in Middle Earth...
