had to go back and reread. this is giles' plan; willow atempting to help; and buffy asserting control. spike should take the money, see if he can get a few dollars for red, and run.

Love it when Spike does the right thing - even when it's really hard. Yeah, I know, terrible pun - just couldn't resist. Does that make me kinda evil? Can't wait for the next update. :)
Well, you at least should like the next installment. Not so sure about the others, and that's all I'm gonna say before I give too much away. And for the record, I so agree.

Here Spike's doing all this for Tara, because he like's her and she's Reds one and only, but I could really hate Buffy if he didn't love her so much. She wants him and it's so making me nuts for her to reject him the way she does. I know he "Loves Bitch" but she's mostly just a bitch! Can't wait to see if you'd changed anything. Love how you decided to take this, C. Great read, thanks.
You know, compared to some of my other fic (not all published), this is really one of my nicer depictions of Buffy!
