Great atmosphere in this chapter -like a prize fight.
Good analogy. Yes, I'd say very much like a prize fight - or a bull ring, where part of the thrill (I guess) is wondering if the Matador will be gored.

Oh yeah....POOR Buffy being forced to have sex with Spike (I'll give you the public display and vidding though *G* but she doesn't really know about all of that at the moment). Poor Spike to have to have her this way though *pout*....ah well, there shall be rewards in time! Oh yes, more please.

Yes, it is not an ideal situation for Either of them, which I am glad that you picked up on. Yes, Spike wants to have sex with Buffy, but he doesn't want her to hate him for it afterwards. And no, Buffy doesn't know about the vidding, and is not terribly aware of the audience at this point either.

Loved that you had her wanting to be with him, even this way, since it gave her permission to enjoy him without responsibility. Oh yeah, they're going to love the next chapter. Love this fic, Cas, thanks.
Thanks Verda - that is a good way to put it. The situation gives Buffy permission to enjoy Spike with having to take any responsiblity for her actions.

The reason your are mean is because you left us hanging. I didn't know how you were going to get them out of the contract. But now I see, she will kill her buyer. I thought maybe Spike was going to claim her or something like that and then nobody would be able to get her. That why I need you to write fast so I can see what happens.
Thanks Lynda, and yes, I think that is the plan. Buffy and/or Spike will kill the buyer (hopefully BEFORE anything bad can happen). But of course we all know how well Spke's plans usually work out, so expect it won't be as easy as they think it will be.

oh wow...this could get bad...you really know how to work the suspense up to a fever pitch...i hope the right vamp buys her...though i suppose getting out of the contract would be just as easy or easier with a different vamp...it just wouldn't help tara much :( great chapter, looking forward to more :)
Thanks - I know its kind of a long wind up, and I am going to add more details to future chapters so you hopefully will not feel disappointed. Haven't really written tons of similar scenes, so it is a bit of a challenge.

Yeah, he is slime, but then I guess most vamps are. But I agree, Spike is showing a lot of restraint (which is atypical for Spike). But his fear of the consequences not only to himself, but to Buffy restrain him from doing anything rash. Besides, he thinks he has a plan.
