Chapter: Chapter Sixteen

Yes, I'm so happy William let that jerk have it. Now I only wonder how long will it take for Buffy to realize that Spike and William are one in the same? If only she'd given herself the chance to get to know him in her time then she wouldn't have to rediscover him in his past. *sigh*
Part of her prejudice it Giles' fault. His little speeches in seasons 1 and 2 about how vampires were just demons and not the same as their former human selves. We all know Spike is better than that. Thanks for the review. :)

Awww, so sweet. Those two are perfect! Love that she's bringing out the Spike in him. You've shaped these characters so well, even as they're both in a sense straddling two different worlds.

I love this story!! ; ) The idea of Buffy drawing Spike characteristics out of William is amazing. I like the thought of two people meant to be together who change each other for the better. Which I guess is one of the big appeals of Spuffy goodness. Loved this and the last chapters. Can't wait for more.
Thanks so much for reviewing. I'm glad you liked the chapter.

ooooooooh! So lovely. Good for William, Archer must be some sort of masochist to keep drawing violence to himself in such a way. I like how William became sort of Spike-ish....it's sexaaaay. :)
Archer has a high opinion of himself, I think, and he remembers that William has always taken his abuse in the past. He didn't take into account that having found love might have made the man more confident...and hence less tolerant of insults.

Thanks for reading and reviewing. :)

I'm reading at FF.net, but I wanted to say it's really nice seeing your story spread around. As for where you left it today? PLEASE update right away!
I've gotten so much great feedback on this story it's amazing. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing.

And about where I left the story...you'll just have to be patient. ;)

Woo hoo! That's a biggie! Of course, William has no clue how very much of a biggie those words are for Buffy.
Love seeing William stand up for Buffy (and himself) against the bully.
Well, unfortunately William didn't get to hear those monumental words (bad, cowardly Buffy whispered it so he couldn't) but it's definitely a step in the right direction for her. Thanks for the review. :)

What a great chapter! Love that he's coming out of his shell and letting her know how he feel's and showing it. He's so in love that he is forgetting about the rules of society but I love that he has. Archer so deserved that, between the two of them, he's not going to look very good for a while. Thank you for having her say I love you back to him. That is going to complete him, give him something that he's been longing for. Would love for them to marry here and show everyone how much they adore each other. A love that none of them will ever know. Thank you for updating UB, you know how much I love this fic. Can't wait for more.
Thank you so much for reviewing! I love a reader who tells me not only that they love the story but *why* they love it. It helps me to know what things I'm doing right and what things I might be able to improve on. I'm so glad you are enjoying this story. I'm definitely enjoying writing it.

I waited all day for you to update and it was wonderful. Am curious about the change in William's personality and why he gave Buffy vampire tingles. Can't wait for more
I wouldn't say he gave her vampire tingles; I just think she was surprised at how similar he can be to Spike. Buffy has always had a very black-white perception of vampires because that is how Giles taught her to be. It has never occurred to her before that even though Spike is without a soul he might not be so far removed from William as she would like to think.

Thanks so much for continuing to read and review. I'm glad you like the story.

Ah, Buffy has completely destroyed her reputation and William's too. Excellent. William isn't going to have to call Charles out is he? Also, could Buffy give Charles another smack or two?
My lips are sealed on that one. I'm glad you're enjoying the story, though. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing.

Okay, it's evidently time for them to find her and drag her back to her own time--she actually admitted to loving someone and we all know how well that goes for Buffy. I really like this gentler pre-vampire version of William.
Not saying a word about where this plot is going; I just hope you'll enjoy taking the journey with me. Thanks so much for reading and taking the time to review.

Interesting that William already has a bit of Spike in him...and that Buffy still can't admit what she feels.
Thank you for continuing to read and review. I hope you are enjoying the story.

Seeing Spike in gentle William was quite a treat.
I'm glad you liked it. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing.

I just heard of a death in my family, and you know how time seems to linger when in the grieving process. I just wanted to say thank you for offering me a little respite. This is really a beautiful story.
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, LindsayH. My grandmother passed away about a year and a half ago so I know how you must be feeling. I'm glad you found a little comfort reading my story, that is truly the best praise a writer can receive. Thank you so much for the review and if you ever need anyone to talk to feel free to email me. My thoughts are with you and your family at this difficult time.

Grest chapter. I guess Wiulliam was stronger than Charles Archer expected.
I'm glad you liked the chapter. Thanks for reviewing.
