That's a mighty cliffy you got there. Did Angelus turn him?.. I guess I'll find out in the next chapter :D I do have quite a few of them to read

Loved the "hot breath" thing you slipped in there. I didn't even catch it the first time. ; )

Now I'm officially worried. She felt a vampire, and William showed up. His coat was radiating cold like he didn't have any body heat. The only thing that gives me hope is that he was able to walk in uninvited. I don't recall the property laws of the time period--it could be that Anne cannot inherit.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!! Can't believe you did that. You are pure and unadulterated evil. Wonderful wonderful chapter. Yet they are still very far from understanding each other. I'm hanging by the thread that he's still breathing and wearing his glasses...
There are clues as to what happened in Chapter Twenty...I just tried hard to keep them subtle. So far it's worked pretty well. ;)

Thanks for the review. I'm so you liked the story.

Alright, next chapter please! I know you have it somewhere. :P

Remember what I said? It's not nice to hold fic's hostage, so you should be nice and update. :D
Hey! I really wasn't holding it hostage. I had to rewrite the last scene somewhat. And c'mon...wasn't it worth the wait? :P

Just read this whole story from the beginning, i am really enjoying it. I'm not usually a fan of William fics (Spike is the character i love, and although i love seeing Spike show his 'William' side, William alone isn't the character i usually adore!) but this drew me in and i couldn't stop reading. It's wonderful.

Though i have to admit i was waiting for William to get turned. Which i'm assuming is what has happened? I'm desperate to read more!
I've also been waiting for Buffy to go back to her time to. I hope she does at some point. I have so many questions about that time- has time passed there like it has where Buffy is or will she go back to when she left. Will her actions have affected her future or will she have had no part in changing history. Part of me wants Spike to not remember her or anything to have changed except her feelings, and to see her deal with Spike as he is and like miss William and such, but it'll be equally as interesting however you deal with it!

Cannot wait for more of this.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review. I'm so glad you're enjoying the story.

Thank you so much. :)

So glad they're together again, but Dru is still here and I'm more then a little worried that she'll be taken soon. Wondering if Archer sucker punched him or had a fair fight, in which he might be sporting another bloodied nose. My explaintion about her losing her virginity to Angelus was only off by a hundred plus years, is all. Angel was her first, so it wasn't a total lie. *stick's out tongue* And my mind does tend to visit the gutter every now and then, but it's fun down there you know! Still watching out for more, maybe tomorrow. Love this sweetie, thanks.
Don't worry Verda. I'm a frequent patron of the gutter myself. ;)

Ok, so I'm gonna conject for a minute here: I think perhaps that William got mugged and beaten up, because I'm blindly optimistic like that. That statement taken out of context is odd, but well, I'd rather him have a black eye than be a vampire, just yet. But the suspensefulness of this chapter had me on the edge of my seat the entire time! Either way it goes, that he is still human or he's been turned, it'll be breath-taking. And kind of heart-breaking too, I'm thinking, because if he is still human, then he and Buffy are going to have to talk. I think she should tell him who and what and when she is. I think he would understand. I mean, he's very perceptive what with the dream and everything. I'm quitting with the conjecture. I'll just confuse myself. But seriously, I hope he's all right. Still human, I mean. I like William. I think what I like the most about him is his innocence, and that's where a lot of the angst in the story is for me, because I know he can't stay innocent. "I may be a bad poet, but I'm a good man." Sigh. Until the next update, I will wait patiently. I promise!
I'm so glad you are enjoying the story so much. I hope you are pleased with the turn Chapter Twenty-One makes.

Thanks for reviewing!

Wait...what?! She didn't invite him in. And no matter whether or not you think four hours is long enough for a fledgling to rise, he doesn't seem to acting any different. But I guess that doesn't mean anything. Please update soon. I can guarantee that all of us are begging for it. ; )
Clever girl, you were definitely reading between the lines on this one. :)

Thanks for the review.

I had to go back and reread, just to see how long after the attack it'd been since William's return. You didn't say. :) At this point, I'm guessing it's been long enough for him to rise.
Nicely done chapter - now we see what she changed about his turning, and that he is stil pretty much the same man.
Well...maybe...
I liked the part about her not caring any more what she'd change in the future (that was from the last chapter, I know - I was caught up in the "If William leaves for London at 7PM, in a train going x miles an hour, then...) adn I'm dying to know what's going on! BUT, as I said before, I'm glad we're sticking with one timeline. It might be interesting to go back and forth if you're showing drastic changes in the future because of her actions - changes one way, then the next time we go to them, the changes are entirely different, etc. However, I'm just as glad the story is going along as it is. Thank You! /wordy review mode off/
Actually, BT, if you reread Chapter Twenty I did say it was long from the time William arrived in London station to the time he showed up in the garden. It was actually a matter of only a few hours (the nine o'clock train was a bit late; he arrived in the garden about one o'clock). There was also the clue that his breath in her face was hot, although I did purposefully make that subtle to keep my red herring afloat. ;)

Thanks for the review. I love wordy ones. :)

Oh My god! Don't leave us hanging for long! OK she did not have to invite him in so - was he in a fight? Was it Angelus at the train station? Please write more soon. I love your story!
Thank you so much for taking the time to review. :)

I'll address those questions in the very next chapter, I promise, but you'll have to wait until Sunday to read it. Hopefully, I'll have updated then.

I'm so glad you're enjoying the story.

I too am worried about what happened to dear sweet William on his way home from the train - but I can't find any mention of Buffy inviting him inside...
Wild horses couldn't drag it out of me. Thanks for the review. :)

Oh - caught up here with ff.net. Does that mean a new chapter is on the way? *looks around eagerly*
I'm working on it right now. Hope to post by Sunday. :)

UH OH! Is he vampy already??? Oh oh oh!!! YAY!

Please continue soon! :)
Yay?? Aw, poor William. You're cheering the downfall of his immortal soul?

But--I'm not saying that is at all what happened.

Thanks for the review. :)

I imagine that Charles Archer accosted him at the railway station. I can't imagine that he would have encountered Angelus.

Great Chapter.
My lips are sealed...

Thanks for the review. :)

Love this story, can't wait for more. I'm glad the misunderstanding between the two is over. It's a wonderful romance, and I can't wait to see how it affects Buffy and Spike's future.
Don't get too complacent. I'm afraid they may have a rocky road ahead of them yet. ;)

Thanks for the review!
