This is fantastic. I loved the way you have taken canon and turned it around, but kept echoes of the original story. I particulary loved it that you had Spike thinking that he's come back "wrong". And that closing line was perfect. This is such a well-written, innovative fic. I can't wait to read more. And just in case that hint was too gentle, I'll come right out and beg you to hurry up and update soon. Please!

Buffy is being Buffy - repressing until she breaks. I do like the changes you have made - she's taking responsibility, working at the Magic Box instead of the Doublemeat. Bleeding herself to make a snack for Spike.
