you show Buffy's conflicts really well. Very good characterization. And what makes the situation even more frustrating is that she could genuinly like the new guy, since he doesn't currently seem at all bad.

oh man, something tells me that as nice a guy as jacob seems to be, he's not gonna be able to handle the truth about buffy's life...or i don't know, maybe he *will* be able to handle it, and things will get a lot more complicated from here on out, who knows? but i'm dying to find out! :) great chapter, love :)

It's pathetic how Buffy is letting her friends choose who she dates. They did that with Riley and look what a disaster he turned out to be.

I absolutely adored this chapter. I was almost ready to smack Buffy for hurting Spike's feelings, but when she kissed his cheek, I decided to hold back. I loved the way he horned in on her date, and the conversation between him and Jacob was hilarious. I especially liked the line "Still I think it'd be fun to meet them....eventually." :)

Can I hope that the pack of demons runs Jacob off and possibly knocks some sense into Buffy? Probably not going to happen is it? Damn...oh well. Great update. I loved how Spike handled her "date." I can't wait for more. :)
