Excellent first chapter. Loved that Evil Spike couldn't quite bring off the Big Bad. I'm really looking forward to the aftermath of this. Great story.

Well I'm curious how this is going to work out since apparently there was only a one way claim made. Going to be a rough situation if she can't reciprocate and he can't leave. He did a nice job of trying to respect her true feelings while dealing with his own about their current situation. I liked how he had to keep reminding himself he was evil since his thoughts were such the opposite.
