Chapter: Epilogue

It's been a long time since I read this - enjoyed reading it all over again - I'm having a great time reading your work again.

It would be great to do a follow up on this after all this time -

Wow...  the ending was even lovelier than the whole story... Guess Glory kind of overstepped her boundaries when she stuck her hands in Spike head, didn't she?

I love that Giles and Anne seem to be making each other happy.  Us old fogies gotta have fun too! :-)  Only Dawn doesn't have someone special yet, but she's got the thing she really wanted: a big happy family that loves and protects her.

thank you for your oddly addictive stories.  I really do enjoy your writing.

Peace,

Blue

Hi Kathleen - Just got round to reading this - and WOW, it is lovely.
I really enjoyed the whole story - how much was canon and also the humour throw in, such as the Dr Who debate.
Thanks for a great read

So glad you enjoyed it hon!  I always have to toss in a bit of humor cause that's just how they did it on the show LOL.  I couldn't imagine those particular guys NOT watching Dr. Who and having definite opinions about the "best".  Thanks for the review.

First time going through your stories I fastly decided, that this one I'm not going to read, but then fighting boredom decided that well, why this one is worse than others, if the others were really good. [So big thanks for all those others as well..]

But now.. wow.. This one was really great as well. Bringing back Spike's mum. And then showing William. The part about pig's blood and ageing process of the vampires made me laugh so hard, because of the commentaries from Marsters himself, and the real life facts. And then the moment, where Buffy in the end is unsure if she can place so much trust in Spike, trust him that he won’t slip. Had to think about those many alcoholics, who say that they won’t drink anymore, but still slips. Though in this case the promise more likely would stay fulfilled.

Thanks, really, really big thanks!

So glad you enjoyed the story (and the others as well)!  The funny part about the pigs blood allowing aging is that I wrote this and posted it BEFORE James said a thing at conventions.  I think after I wrote this someone asked him in a Q & A about playing Spike again and suggested that would bene way to explain the aging and he laughed but has said it a time or two himself since then.  I'd love to tell myself that the person who asked had read my story but who knows *G*.  Again, thank you!

This is one of the best stories that I have read. What an ingenious way of showing "William" to the Scoobies. It puts a new twist on the show that I haven't read before. Well done!
What a wonderful compliment, thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed the story. No one better than William's mother to force them to see he was never fully replaced at all....glad you agreed. Thank you again for making my day with this comment. Kathleen

Terrific fun and happily ever afters for everyone! Such a rarity.
Thank you! I love angst (not that this one was that) but MUST have a happy ending or the hope for one at least. Life can be too much of a downer without my fic joining in LOL. k

Now that was just a great story. Love how Buffy and Spike seem to be making this work and how England was good for Tara and Willow. And you just so left the door open with Anne and Giles?? Awesome story.
Thank you. I like happy endings whenever possible. K

Splendid story!
I really enjoyed this work; I thought you worked Anne in beautifully and handled the changes very smoothly. Great job, you should be proud of your work :D
Thank you! I am really proud that everyone accepted my Anne characterization as realistic. k

Great ending. Giles definitely needs someone to love and Dawn is completely right about them all (except Giles) needing a mother.
They all fell apart and went to their lowest levels when Joyce and then Tara died. Those "motherly" figures had been the stablizing forces they all needed so badly. Giles on the other hand needs someone who can give him different viewpoints and keep him the inquisitive man he was in the beginning. Thanks! k

awwwwwwwwwwwwwww Great ending! I just loved this story all the way threw its always how I imagined Spikes mom! Thank you for the update and ending!
Thank you! I am so glad you enjoyed it. I think Anne had so much to do with the man William was and the vampire Spike became...glad you could see that too.

Lovely, sweet wrap-up to a wonderful tale. *happy sigh* Thank you!
Thank you. I didn't want all our friends to be left dangling even if Buffy had already decided to trust Spike *G*. My pleasure sweetie.
