Oh boy indeed! This is cliffhanger is a lulu....finally an explanation (although I can think of a few and have already).

I really love this world you've created. I enjoy fantasy novels and this is a nice varieity of one with a mix of the medieval and mythological creature....lovely!!!!! Spike fits in perfectly. Can't wait for the rest of the crew to gather and find out the whole father/key thing too *snort*...think there'll be more than a few stunned expressions.
