So sadly sweet, but beautifully done. Am anxiously awaiting more chapters! Please update again ASAP (and pls pull Buffy back out of that dreaded river in Egypt, now while she's only dipping her toe in the waters, rather than falling in headfirst!)

I think my heart just broke! I had so hoped this night together would help Buffy change her mind and allow her to reassert her claim. But of course she has to be typical Buffy and deny herself any happiness if others could deem it wrong in any way. Poor Spike being allowed to have what he truly wants and then have it taken away! I will continue to suffer through the angst, but I expect a happy ending!
I'm not sure how much of a happy ending I can promise...but it will be Spuffy! :-) Very sorry for breaking your heart. I hope you keep reading anyway! And soo right there about Buffy denying herself- I'm afraid it's going to be a while until she stops denying herself! Thanks for reading!

Definitely a bit longer, sadly. And she's going to suffer for it, of course! (this is why I have The Thin Line up as well- helps assuage the angst a bit!) Thanks for reading!
