That's some powerful blood she's possessing.  With her protective feelings towards him, and his concern for her pain I'm thinking he might be staying awhile longer even though he is becoming more capable.

How sweet and touching!  Lovely scene.  He is coming to grips all thanks to her and she is going to finally see him, really see him.  Perhaps she'll notice how human he was even at his worst.
