I like it, it sounds interesting. But.. it'S not exactly very logical, is it? Why can't they get out, just because of a little water tha's not even spilling over the porch? It's just water, couldn't they walk through it? what's keeping them from doing that? Are they just scared of getting wet?
Ah, but the problem with floodwater is that it's full of lots of nasty things (sewage etc.) that you do not want to be walking in! Plus, any excuse to stay in a house with Spike, right? :-)

Nice start, I like that this is before the dreaded sexcapades. Buffy was a lot nicer to him then, good thing he showed up there. He probably wouldn't have been so lucky in his crypt. Well, you have my interest with this one. Can't wait for more=)
