“This is a joke, right?” Buffy gave a snort of laughter, turning the invitation in her hands.
 
“That bad, huh?” Spike’s voice made her turn, amused smile still in place.
 
“What?”  she asked, eyes still on the purple piece of paper in her hands.
 
“Having your honey taken away?” his voice was teasing, holding just the tiniest bit of a doubt.
 
“What do- Oh!” she got it, suppressing an eye roll in the last second and adopting an innocent ‘I’m so blonde I don’t get what you’re talking about’ voice. “Well, I’ll check and tell you. Didn’t see your name written anywhere the first time but-“
 
 
“Mmmm. Spike? Is a “honey” reference about you always gonna get me that nicely settled?”
 
“Only ‘til I get used to it…Oi! Stop pouting!”
 
“There’s no getting used to that?”
 
“Bloody right there isn’t! Come here. So… are we going?”
 
“Sure. I’ve never been to a wedding that didn’t get screwed.”
 
“Well, I don’t really believe that one will fall in the “not-screwed” category.”
 
“It better! Otherwise no demon nor man is gonna hear the end of this. If Queen C’s wedding is not perfect, noone’s will be.”
 
“Yeah, well, I don’t see how she’s gonna pull off the church deal.”
 
“Why? I mean, you can so go into churches.”
