Chapter 2

Buffy woke up by the sound of hooves on stone. She sat up looked around her.

“Were the hell am I?” She was lying in an alley, and it didn’t look like a Sunnydale alley. The she saw people walking outside the alley on the street, looked weird. They looked like they were in a play or something with their strange hair, their strange clothes and their strange behaviour. Buffy rose to her feet and looked down, realising that she was wearing a dress. The same kind of dress all the women were wearing, except hers was not blue, or green, or red but white. She stepped out of the alley and looked around, her head aching as it had bin split in to pieces. The groaned and put her hands on her head, bending down as she did so. Suddenly someone pushed her, causing her to fall flat on her face. She heard footsteps running towards her and flipped over on her back, looking up. Beside her stood a man, with sand blonde curly hair, round glasses, high cheekbones and piercing blue eyes.

“I have seen those eyes somewhere before”

“Are you alright, miss? I saw what happened from across the street and wanted to help” The man, who spoke with an English accent, offered his hand, to help her up. Buffy accepted his hand, standing up.

“I’m obviously in London. Come on Buffy, after 5 years hearing Giles talk you have to remember something her said”

“I’m quite alright, thank you. I have myself to blame not looking out. I was in my own little world” She was surprised herself that the accent sounded so real. When she begun to walk, her ankle gave up and she fell right into the young mans arms. He immediately blushed and looked down.

“I’m sorry, sir. I didn’t catch your name?” Buffy said and stood up, careful to not support her weight of her ankle.

“I’m William Brighton, miss. And you are?” He said and Buffy smiled at him.

“My name is Elizabeth Summers. I just moved here from, from Ireland!” Buffy said and William offered her his arm.

“From Ireland? But you speak with London accent?”

“Actually Mr. Brighton, my mother is from London and my father from Dublin.”

“Alright then. I think you’ll want to be on your way. I’ll order a carriage Miss Elizabeth, were are you staying?” Buffy felt her panic rise within her. She had no place to stay.

“No were, I have no place to stay. I have no money and I don’t know anyone in London. What am I going to do?” Buffy fought against the tears that threatened to fall. William looked compassionate at her and cocked his head to one side.

“Oh my go! It’s Spike! Spike as a human! And… god he is such a liar. Always been bad huh? This man couldn’t harm a fly”

“Don’t worry, Miss Elizabeth. I’m sure you can stay with me and mother for a few days, at least”

“That is very kind of you, but I couldn’t possible…” Buffy started to say but William interrupted her.

“Off course you can. I insist.” And with does words William waved at a carriage. He opened the door and offered his hand at Buffy, who climbed in to the carriage. William followed her and closed the door.

“Brighton Property please”

“Yes sir” The driver said and put the horse into moving.
