Banner Offer Hey everyone :) I'm Amy, and have lurked here for quite some time. I've just started posting a fic at the main site, but I also make graphics - banners, icons etc. Lately I've been feeling quite uninispired, and I need something to kickstart my artwork muse, so I'm wondering if anyone would like a banner made for their fic, or for any other purpose. I post most of my artwork to my journal, here. If you're interested, give me a few details on what you'd like, and a link to the fic if it's a story banner you're after. :) Ack! What an incredible offer from a very talented artist! It makes me want to write some new Spuffy, just so I can make a request. Would you be open to some Spike/Dru? I have a few of those laying around that could use banners: http://rebcake.livejournal.com/tag/drusilla I'd completely understand if you'd like to keep it Spuffy. It's got that touch of classic elegance, you know? I really suggest that anyone who happens across this thread to take her up on this offer. Her stuff's amazing, but don't take my word for it. Click on the link. C'mon, you know you want to! Seriously, though, Amy's got talent and if you want a pretty for your fic, she'll deliver! Here's another example of her work below - she made this for my latest fic. i34.photobucket.com/albums/d107/townzell/abbyrockyroad4.png Hi Amy - ” Recent evolutionary models have demonstrated what politicians have long known: the best way to get people to collaborate and to think like a group is to identify an enemy and charge that “they” threaten “us.” Michael Tomasello is co-director of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology. BTW - just want to add that your work is excellent - ” Recent evolutionary models have demonstrated what politicians have long known: the best way to get people to collaborate and to think like a group is to identify an enemy and charge that “they” threaten “us.” Michael Tomasello is co-director of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology. Aww, thank you everyone - you're making me blush! Would you be open to some Spike/Dru? I have a few of those laying around that could use banners: http://rebcake.livejournal.com/tag/drusilla I'd completely understand if you'd like to keep it Spuffy. It's got that touch of classic elegance, you know? I can definitely have a go :) I'm open to making anything, really - perhaps a change from what I usually do will help get me back some of my inspiration! Is there any particular fic there you would like a banner for? If you would like to try something a little different, I am looking for Fan Film Poster either of existing films or your own vision of a film for my whedon world gallery using Buffyverse or Whedonverse characters - let me know if you would like to do some - they are really fun projects. That does actually sound really fun, I've never thought of doing anything like that before. I'll bear it in mind, see if I can come up with anything :) I was going to do something with that film, I think the title is Love Letters - the play that James Marsters read excerpts from in his Valentine event - It brings in a project that JM worked with and also has a Spuffy kind-a feeling. Really, anything that you would like to work with would be great. On another board I visit, we were discussing the similarities between Cathy and Heathcliff of Wuthering Heights - These are a lot of fun to create, but then I love film posters. If you wanted to do some horror film posters, those are great to work from . ” Recent evolutionary models have demonstrated what politicians have long known: the best way to get people to collaborate and to think like a group is to identify an enemy and charge that “they” threaten “us.” Michael Tomasello is co-director of the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology. And seeing the banner you made for XoChantelly it got me wondering if you'd be interested in making one for an AU story I'm currently writing called Twenty One. You can find it here: http://dark-solace.org/elysian/viewstory.php?sid=2846&warning=NC-17 or here: http://spikeluver.com/SpuffyRealm/viewstory.php?sid=35515 just if you've got some free time on your hands :) i'd really appreciate it! thank you! Hi! I was wondering if you (or anyone) could make me a banner for my fic if you have any free time? The title of my fic is "Love Me, Thrill Me, Hate Me, Kill Me" and it can be found here: http://www.dark-solace.org/elysian/viewstory.php?sid=2828 I'd really appreciate it if you could do it. Thank you :) I'll add both to my list, I have some free time tomorrow and Friday, so I'll see what I can do :) Peroxidelove, I have sent you a message :) Arinnab - I'll try and get yours done this week, I'll send you a message when it's finished :) Sep 16 2009 10:09 pm #13ArinnaB Thanks a bunch. I'll remember to put your name in my AN for credit. I hope you feel better :) -Rinna Glad you like it :) I've just posted all the banners that were made for the requests in this thread to my LJ, if anyone's interested :) http://amyxaphania.livejournal.com/121337.html#cutid1 Sep 17 2009 03:04 am #15slaymesoftly They're all lovely! I am not a minion of Evil... I am upper management. I am offering this as a banner either for a story or for essays on the Spuffy relationship. I am also looking for essays that explore Buffy and Spike and their relationship. They don't have to be only as their relationship was effected by her earlier experience with Angel/Angelus but it's pretty difficult to get away from that connection, especially the season six phase. Any, I would appreciate any recommends you have. I am hoping to put together a good resource list - there are some great recommendations listing but not many for the essays and articles. This banner could also be used for your own compliation of essays or a story - text can be changed as needed. | |||
