It works, but it puts the cover at the end not the beginning.

Huh, in which reader? It's at the beginning in the two I checked so far.

Are writers going to be able to put fics in epub instead of us converting for our ereaders?!   That would be fantastic for completed stories.

Works fine with the Reader Library Software (haven't loaded it to my Sony PRS 600 yet). Without loading I can't check the font - I can't make it bigger with the software, it seems to stay the same size.
Normally the software shows the same as the reader and makes the font bigger if selected.
(But the font is big to read even in "S".)

In Callibre... but it's fine once I put it on the Kindle.

I use Calibre. It's easy to use, and as well as managing your library and moving files easily between the computer and your reader, it can also convert a wide selection of file types.

Or you can email files to your Kindle (the email address you need to use should be listed in your Kindle settings).

I use Calibre too. The book came up in the list with the picture but when opened, the picture is at the end of the story that starts with the summery.

Yep, it does that, but once you load it to the Kindle (I don't know about other devices), the cover is at the beginning where it should be.

This opened easily on my laptop, but I haven't tried saving it yet or putting it on the iPad.  I probably won't have time to play with it until next week, but we'll see. What is Callibre? I googled it and went to the site, but I"m not sure what it's purpose is. Is it to transfer things between the computer and the reader?

Yep. It's also good for converting from one format to another.

Also good as a  library over your books, and to that free. Takes almost every format.

Could you convert your latest story (If thats what it takes) into an e-reader format? epub or a good pdf would do. I'd like to read it on my train rides but I can't save the story properly from BSV. Thank you :)

I've no idea how to save it to an e-reader format, but I could save it as a pdf and email it to you. I'll work on that today. 'k?

Forgive a newcomer to Kindle but does this mean I can convert saved fanfic with Calibre the same way as the excellent demo shows for ebooks?

Forget I asked, I tried it out and it works perfectly!  Brilliant, thanks for the tip as I've been wasting hours trying to do the email thing, Calibre is so much easier. :cheer:
