Ah. Angel doesn't have so much expertise any more. I think it's the chapter London Time, where Buffy and Willow are discussing Angel being a bit player since the batttle in L.A. where he sent his whole crew to their deaths in his vane attempt to take down the Black Thorn. Also, as was alluded to in Angel the Series when Andrew came with a horde of Slayers to take away the rogue Slayer, Dana, Angel and his crew had very little say in the matter. The Watchers Coucil has become a much more formidable force than one lonely vampire with a soul. They have more useful sources, and he doesn't have a reputation with the Council as being a player. They use him when it occurs to him, as it did before the battle with the Dragvloks, but he's harldy indispensable. This is also consistent with Joss' own Season 8 universe where the world and the Council and the Slayers moved on without him.
I'm glad you're enjoying it!
Spike going psycho and then giving yet another Slayer a pep talk is just great. Good ol' Clem, trying to talk him into ratcheting down the destruction. With eggs, no less.
I just hope all these people telling Spike that Buffy's into him doesn't end up queering the deal...their luck is not so much, romantically.
Luck is for losers! :-)
Glad you liked Spike going psycho. I thought it was a fairly realistic sentiment for him to have at this stage in the game. It's been way too long for Angel to still be mucking up the works and getting from Buffy as much as Spike thought he'd been given. Things were finally starting to swing Spike's way, you know?
Clem, I just love, so I'm thrilled that people are digging him too the way I'm writing him.
Thanks so much for reviewing. :-)
Thanks for reviewing. :-)
Blimey, I so didn't expect that, this stories got layers upon layers and gotta admit, my heads spinning. I suppose like most people I took the Dravlok attacks at face value. The Slayers attacked them, so they wanted revenge. I didn't even consider that there could be some type of Machiavellian, or should that be Willowavellian, plot behind it. I'm gonna stop speculating about what may happen, I'm obviously completely out of my depth. But I must say love how this fics developing.
Spike and Clem were so funny, great line about the eggs and milk, I think Clem could do good work for the UN. I'm relieved Spike knows the truth about Sonny and Angel, actually felt sorry for her in this chapter.
As usual I cant wait for more.. brilliant update.
Yeah, bloody layers. They're flattening me here! That's the problem with trying to create a world. There's never just one thing happening in a real world, you know?
I'm glad it's still fun, though dizzyng! Thanks for reviewing again, Jane. :-)
