Followed by Willow and a Giles who is determined to kill Spike, they are finally about to discover the secret destination of the plague mist.

Buffy and Spike have followed the Plague mist to its destination in a cavern under The Devil’s Punchbowl in England, unaware that Giles, worried by Spike’s increased strength, has blocked their escape route.

Buffy and Spike are trapped underground. Giles has placed a massive boulder in front of the entrance, condemning them to be burnt to death by the rising demon fire.

Buffy and Spike have escaped from the fires beneath The Devil’s Punchbowl, with Willow’s help. Buffy knows now that Giles has turned against them, scared of Spike’s invincibility. And to make matters worse, the monster living in the caves is now on the move.

But with Willow’s help, Buffy and Spike have escaped from the molten monster underground and now have to decide how to fight it.

Set in England, Buffy and Spike have followed the Plague mist to Hindhead and discovered it is food for a terrible demon. They are sure the demon is heading for Stonehenge. They trick Willow to leave her behind and set out in pursuit. Meanwhile Giles is coming to terms with the changes the mist has made to him

Buffy and Spike are trying to outrun the Plague Demon. They are certain he is on his way to Stonehenge having fed on the Plague mist. That same mist has made all vampires invincible and Buffy, who fed on Spike’s blood, is changing too. But is it for the better?
