If you've got love in your sights
Watch out, love bites

When you make love, do you look in the mirror?
Who do you think of, does he look like me?
Do you tell lies and say that it's forever?
Do you think twice, or just touch and see?
Ooh babe Ooh yeah

When you're alone, do you let go?
Are you wild 'n' willin' or is it just for show?
Oh come on

I don't wanna touch you too much baby
'Cos makin' love to you might drive me crazy
I know you think that love's the way you make it
So I don't wanna be there when you decide to break it
No!

Love bites, love bleeds
It's bringin' me to my knees
Love lives, love dies
It's no surprise

Love begs, love pleads
It's what I need

When I with you are you
Somewhere else?
Am I gettin' through or do you please
Yourself?
When you wake up will you walk out?
It can't be love if you throw it about
Ooh babe

I don't wanna touch you too much
Baby
'Cos makin' love to you might drive
Me crazy

Ooh yeah

Love bites, love bleeds
It's bringin' me to my knees
Love lives, love dies

If you've got love in your sights
Watch out, love bites
Yes it does
It will be hell

Today's been uber-wierd, Spike rolled back through, drunk as a skunk, whining about Drusilla breaking-up with him for some kind of slimy demon. That had to be one of the sanest things I've ever heard of Drusilla doing, not so much the slimy demon part, but the breaking-up with.

Seems he wanted a love spell, wanted Drusilla to love him again. Couldn't he see from the way she turned on him last year that she'd never really loved him, she'd just been waiting for Angelus to come back so she could run into his arms?

He killed the magic shop owner, you'd think the way people get killed for owning the place that they'd quit owning it. Anyway, Willow had been in there for some supplies and he had a very druken and not advisable idea. You'd think he would think it a bad plan when he plans to kidnap the Slayer's best friend.

So he'd ambushed her in the school's Science lab, he hadn't planned on Xander being there. So he ended up with both of them. He used Xander for leverage to get Will's to do the spell.

I guess that he'd forgotten about the love spell that Xan did last year. 'Cause he was hellbent on her doing it,even being as bold as to come to my house, because Willow had told him she'd left the book she needed there. She'd unknowingly put my mother in danger. I could've killed her myself.

Mom being my mom had made the druken, and completely idiotic vampire hot cocoa with little marshmallows, and he'd sat there and told her his troubles. She knew he was a vamp, and still she treated him like he was a friend of the family. I mean I tell her that he's evil, don't let him in the house, and then she makes him cocoa!

When mom called me at the library, I heard the bleached dumbass in the background. God I just knew my mom was as good as vamp food. There was no way he wasn't going to suck her blood, I hung up the phone, and ran as fast as I could to the house.

When I got to the kitchen Spike was standing behind mom, taunting Angel, who couldn't get in, because of the invitation revoking Wills did last year to keep his alter ego out.

I just knew that Spike was getting ready to take a bite out of my mom, so I did the only thing I could think of, grabbed him, threw him up against the island, and picked a wooden spoon out of the utensil cup that sat at his back. I pressed it to his heart, and threatened him. God he breathed in my face and the alcoholic stench about made me hurl all over him. Damn I should've done just that. The look on his face would've have been priceless.

He'd told us that he had Xander and Willow, and if I killed him that I'd never find them. So Angel, and me ended up helping him get the rest of the ingredients for the spell.

We ended up having to fight a bunch of vampires that one of Spike's old minions had sired, or something. Well we hurried into the magic shop, and tried to get the rats eyes, herbs, and whatever else was on the list. The vampire gang came in and we kicked their asses.

After fighting, and winning. Spike decided that it was Philosophy time, spouting out a bunch of crap about love not being brains, but blood rushing through you. I sorta started to tune him out. But the surprising thing was that even though he was so falling down drunk, he'd actually made a whole lot of sense. So much so, that I wanted to stake him right then and there, the only thing that stopped me was that he was the only one that knew where Xander and Willow were, well at least at the time I thought so.

Cordy and Oz had gone out looking for them. Oz and his wolfiness had smelled Will's scent. Which can I say "EWW!" Anyway, they found them in the old, burned out factory. When they went into the downstairs, well I just put it like this, Xan and Will weren't to worried about their predicament, I hear that they were in a liplock to end all liplocks. I know that they weren't trying to hurt anyone. They thought as soon as Spike got back and Willow did the spell that he'd kill them.

So as soon as Cordy saw them in the compromising position, she'd turned tail and ran, right through the stairs, and ended up impaling herself on a piece of rebar that had been sticking up.

She'd passed out, and Xander had thought she was dead, the injury was horrendous, but the Queen still lives. The doctor said that if she'd landed on the pipe just an inch to the right she'd have punctured a kidney. She'd be okay in a few days, she won't talk to Xan, which I really can't blame her, if Angel did that with Dru I wouldn't speak to him either. Okay, just grossed myself out.

So Cordy will live, but I think that the two relationships are completely destroyed, and as most of the time it was all Spike's fault. I hope I never see his face again. Although he has a habit of promising not to come back and I always have to pick up the pieces when he forgets that promise, so I know this probably won't be the last time I see the leather clad menace.

Buffy draws in a deep, wavering breath as she reads the last paragraph.

She'd known then, and she knows to this day that it hadn't been Spike's fault at all. He'd had absolutely nothing to do with the teenage hormone bombs known as Willow and Xander during Senior year. She'd just needed to blame someone for the break-ups, and Spike, who'd already left town to go back to where ever he'd come from, was the easy target, so he'd gotten the blame.

He'd always been her convient scapegoat. And she hated herself for that now.

He'd blown into town that day because he'd had his heart broken, again by Drusilla.

He'd told her one night when she'd gone to his crypt, before the whole badness of the year that she'd come back, that he'd actually come back to get something to make the pain go away. As always his plan went pear-shaped and he'd decided to get Willow to do that ignorant spell for him.

He'd not planned on her friends being all hot, and heavy for each other, that was just a nice side effect of the whole ordeal. She'd looked at him then with a I can't believe you just said that look. And as always he'd come back with his, if it wasn't it should be patented, "I'm evil, luv." He'd gone on to tell her that Willow had been in there to get ingredients for a delusting spell.

She'd looked at him like he was crazy, and asked "Do those even exist?"

He'd answered "Don't know, Luv, but Willow was trying to make it happen." He'd smirked at that.

She'd loved that time when they were actually friends, before all the badness had happened. He'd been so easy to talk to.

It hadn't been Spike's fault, and she couldn't believe that her 17-year-old self had been so narrow minded, and completely oblivious to what was happening to her two best friends. Every bit of those break-ups was Willow's and Xander's fault, because they couldn't keep their hands, and lips to themselves.

It was their faults and no one elses the burden of those sins lay on their shoulders, and she'd known that as truth even then. And it still was the truth, and always will be.
