It's a somewhat AU story where Buffy is the slayer, but lives a somewhat lonely existance. Vampires are used as slaves in this universe and she decides to purchase one, though I don't remember why.
I do recall that she is friends with Tara in this story, because it was Tara who eventually got her to purchase Spike.

Are you thinking about Buyer Beware by Just Sue?  It's canon up to Season 4 when Spike was captured.  He has a chip from the Initiative and is a slave.

I can't find this fic I've been looking for because I can only remember some of it but I thought I could ask on this thread. I think it's season 5 but I'm not sure. Anyway, Buffy is in the cemetery when she is hurt during a fight, I think poison is involved, and is paralyzed. Spike was either already fighting with her or just finds her, but she's helpless on the grass, unable to move. He picks her up and takes her to his crypt and lays her down on the bed (maybe the sarcophagus) and Buffy is worried he'll take advantage of her being unable to fight back or move, but Spike doesn't.  This story I think is after she knows Spike is in love with her, so her worry is about ravishing not killing. Does anyone know what this fic is called?

If he ends up being put in charge of taking care of her after the injury then it's called "Walking after Midnight." Great story, I read it yeeeeeears ago when I first got into Spuffy.

Thought I would go ahead and add to the list.  The one I'm looking for is I guess; a parody.  Spike and Buffy somehow find out about all the different pairings, ie: spara, spander, bangel, biley, etc.. and their reactions are quite funny.  If anyone has a clue as to the name of it and where I can find it I would be very be appreciative!

I could swear I read the one with the different pairings thing at SR, but that's probably not too helpful.

I was the Guest a few replies back looking for the story where Buffy is paralyzed. I didn't mean she was damaged and taken to a doctor and called officially paralyzed, I meant short-term poison or something briefly made her unable to move at all, helpless, and Spike takes her to his crypt and she's worried he'll take advantage that at that moment she couldn't do anything to fight him, I don't even think she could talk, but she isn't really paralyzed long. So, it's not Walking After Midnight, though I enjoyed that fic. Does anyone recognize this, even if it's just one scene in a longer fic?

Looking for recommendations for good PG authors and stories - Spuffy always my first choice but am really wanting to read some excellent works not heavy on the sex -  appreciate any suggestions -

Most authors write all ratings, depending on the storyline.  And almost all archives give the rating right up front, so you should be able to just look for authors that you like and then browse for their PG stories.  Good luck!

You might also want to check the reason for the rating...not all ratings above PG are for sex... I know I have quite a few that are rated higher because they have  fair bit of violence in them.

You can also use the search facility and search for the rating you want, that is probably the easiest way.
