Wasn't even sure if I should post this thread.  I just wanted to let anyone who's been following "Clocks of the Long Now" that I'm taking the story off the internet for a major overhaul.

Basically, I've been re-reading the thing lately and I'm not happy with the work in its current form.  Being a newbie, I raced through about 70,000 words with only minimal beta support.  In fact, between slinkypsychokit and slaymesoftly, only 3 chapters have been subjected to beta scrutiny, and I think the fic has suffered because of it.

So, basically, I'm taking the thing to the woodshed for a good spanking, after which I feel it will be ready to show the world, along with a fresh (and, hopefully, fully beta'd) chapter.  Thanks to everyone so far for all your love and support.

love, are you serious???

I think it's excellent, and the fact that you've not had the help of a beta for most of it just increases my respect for you and your writing :) Of course, I understand if you feel the need to overhaul it...it's your fic and you alone know how it's "supposed" to be :P

Can't wait to see more of it, still, because I'm loving it :)

*hugs*

Well I'll wait for the return of this exceptional story.  Amazing that it has been marginally Beta'd!  It didn't show and is a credit to your native talent that no one noticed.  As a Virgo I am understanding of that perfectionism that must plague you and demand that you do this even if no one else could possibly find fault with the story as it stands.

So....don't be too long in the woodshed and don't be too critical of this extremely fine work of fiction.  Your audience will be waiting for its return.
