Foreshadow I: Grief, Despair and Hope by Alexannah I do hope you plan to come back to this very interesting universe. Blue 02/21/2010 01:36 am Epilogue: Here Comes the Sun looking foward to # 2 Really enjoyed this Spike Life history story and how wonderful that he got a chance to make up for how he first tried to help his mother - Hope that you did or will do that sequel sometime. I would love to see what happens to Spike and all that Hellmouth Power, make up for losing his vampire powers - and to see what happens with Mr. Pratt Sr. - I have never come across a story that brings Spike and his family together. There are some stories that feature his mother, but I have never read one with his dad. NICE CHANGE - Brunettepet 02/03/2010 01:33 am Epilogue: Here Comes the Sun I enjoyed this sweet wrap up. Spike and Buffy enjoying the sunrise and Buffy repeating that she really does love Spike was delightful. Giles is right to be concerned, and Buffy is in denial if she thinks all that hellmouth power is leashed. I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes. Spike's humanity and the teaser give a big hint. well, that next story? Where is it!!??? best hurry back now. His father's first comment to his son was, “What on earth have you done to your hair?” That is such a great line! I laughed out loud when I read it!!! (I'm glad they were able to save his dad.) Great action and what a surprise at the end of this chapter! Brunettepet 02/03/2010 01:26 am Blood to Blood Spike and Willow taking matters into their own hands was entertaining as was Spike having to fight off the effects of absorbing all that power. Buffy talking him down was sweet. After the drama, Mr. Pratt asking Spike about his hair made me laugh. Spike's pulse is an interesting turn of events. oh dear. Brunettepet 02/03/2010 01:18 am Sod Consequences Spike getting forgiveness from his mother and knowing she loves him still was the only positive to having killed her this time around. All the players are now in place. It's no wonder he's willing to do what it takes to save his father. Giles' reason for grabbing the telephone out of Buffy's hand made me laugh out loud. Good to see Spike coming to terms with turning his mother and making his peace with her. There goes the focus of the First Evil's trigger. Now to save his poor dad... What an emotional roller coaster! closure is good. of course, we don't know how she's able to talk from beyond the veil... Brunettepet 02/03/2010 01:08 am What a Choice Things are falling into place. Of course the sorcerer is Spike's father and him searching for his family is an interesting twist. Maybe Spike can have some real closure with one of his parents' this time around. Buffy not sharing Spike's pain with the gang was stellar. She's right that this is Spike's story to share or not. very touching. I like the dynamic between them. Brunettepet 02/03/2010 01:02 am Setting Wrongs Right Spike snapping his mother's neck was brutal, and his reaction to it was gutting. It's no wonder Buffy's gut reaction is to comfort the poor guy. This was his mother and he had an opportunity to save her. The portal spitting them back shows he did the right thing, but it doesn't make it any less awful. Buffy comforting him and being compassionate was wonderful. Her change of attitude toward Spike is believable under these extraordinary circumstances. Sunshine 08/22/2009 03:42 pm Setting Wrongs Right This is starting to get really interesting.. will you update the story? Please? All4Spike 08/12/2009 12:36 pm Setting Wrongs Right Only just found this story and I just had to say how much I'm loving it. So... Spike's dad is the chap who absorbed the Hellmouth energy? Intriguing..... Glad to see Buffy accepting that Spike has genuine feelings and being sympathetic. The beginning of a solid friendship. Oh I hadn't thought it would be so easy to come back. Even if for Spike it wasn't easy, it was very tough. I wonder if the amateur sorcerer is related to William? Than that fact could be important. *just guessing* Loved that Buffy was there for Spike. Gina 08/10/2009 06:32 pm Setting Wrongs Right If the seers sent them back to prepare Spike and Buffy, was it just so Spike could find peace with what happened to his mother, to bring the two of them closer together, or for something totally different? You have a gift for interesting, many-sided plots, and I like how this is moving forward. That William/Spike's father was the amateur sorcerer the Scoobies are looking for ways to kill was a nice move. 08/10/2009 04:50 pm Setting Wrongs Right Clearly showing the emotion but without long descriptions of it. Great characterization, and a lot of hints of what is to come. A great chapter. glad you updated. AHA! Methinks Spike's father might well be the Hellmouth magician! (I love to speculate but expect to find out in good time). Really excellent. So glad to see this updated. So Dawn and Xander are with Angel and Giles has witnessed a special moment between Spike and Buffy. This should be interesting. Glad Spike got a chance to do things differently. Kathleen what an absoloutely horrible choice to have to make! But it hopefully will mean the First can't use that against him even if it shows up. Blue Brunettepet 02/03/2010 12:52 am Tugging Heartstrings This was a vivid, emotional chapter. I loved seeing Spike and his mother having such a touching reunion and it seems to have opened Buffy's eyes to the man he was. In all his years as a vampire, killing his mother seems to be the one act he regrets the most. It's terrible that Spike has to go through it again. This is really cool. I cant wait to see where you take this story next. Update soon, please. Oh GOD...poor Spike! The idea of having to kill her yet a third time is unthinkable. Best to leave her to the disease that would have claimed her inevitably. Love the plot device of making Buffy invisible to all but Spike. This covers any issue of the modern girl with modern ways and dress having to fit in Victorian England. Spike has a confidante and yet she doesn't stick out like a sore thumb. So kind of Buffy to assure Spike that his mum DOES/did love him. He needed to hear that. Wonder when she will realize that Spike/William clearly was and is able to love even after being sired. That would mean that he does love her. That could change everything between them. I have a bad feeling about jealous Angel being involved at all. He's likely to muck about and cause trouble. Excellent. Kathleen Good to see you updating this one too. I wonder if what Spike will do will change the future in any way (or if it will be stay the same when they are back home. Carol 06/11/2009 05:57 am Tugging Heartstrings Oh, poor Spike! I'm glad Buffy gets to see how much he cares for his Mum. Another example of his humanity for her to see. But I really feel for him having to kill his mother all over again. This story is quite good. Update soon. good read, thank you. amazed by buffy's solution to the situation. What a fascinating beginning! And it is a refreshing plot idea. Most time travel stories have the modern Buffy or Spike meet theother one in past form. So I think it is going to be a nice change for them both to be the modern characters stuck in the past together. Brunettepet 02/03/2010 12:44 am Prologue: The Mouth of Hell; Chapter One: Seeing Things This is an interesting premise and you're already doing an excellent job setting up the action. Buffy and Spike were quite friendly at this point in time, and they're making a fun, relaxed team. Buffy being a ghost and Drusilla and the rest of the fang gang being about are going to be interesting wrinkles. Angel's decision that the prophecy was about him and Buffy was stellar, but not as stellar as his reaction to it being about Spike, instead. Angel's been replaced, and now here's proof positive. I wonder who this amateur sorcerer is and how the gang are going to control him. Spike has the opportunity to change his terrible mistake with his mother. I'm off to see how it changes everything. oooh! very exciting :) I am off to read the next chapter *bounce* Oh poor Spike! Knowing how it turned out he is quite likely to want to change that bit of history. Then again Anne was dying already and her death by other means (the TB) might not impact a thing except remove a source of pain for Spike. Excellent start. Off to read more. Kathleen Oh poor Spike! Knowing how it turned out he is quite likely to want to change that bit of history. Then again Anne was dying already and her death by other means (the TB) might not impact a thing except remove a source of pain for Spike. Excellent start. Off to read more. Kathleen Oh seems the prophecy takes care of itself - Buffy vanished? So maybe it already started what Angel came for. Ah that's what happened to the seer a the begin. What a fate. Just saw your 'Coming soon' section in your account - sounds like some good fics we get to read (hopefully, if you write them). very good opening chapter. thanks for the read. I've never read anything of yours before, but you're really good, and I can't wait to go read everything else you've written. I love time travel, and you've put a new twist on it. Poor Spike having to face his past; I'm glad Buffy is there to help him work through it. Terrific beginning! All4Spike 02/18/2009 09:10 pm Prologue: The Mouth of Hell; Chapter One: Seeing Things How intriguing. Can't wait to see where you're going with this. Richard 02/18/2009 03:34 pm Prologue: The Mouth of Hell; Chapter One: Seeing Things I had this whole scene spring to mind where Dawn laughs at Angel because he thought he was Buffy's extra-special vamp. Then to yank his chain she tells him even Xander likes Spike better than the wanker - isn't that right, Xander? Then just to gild the lily she tells him Buffy isn't a toy or property so he doesn't get a say in who her boyfriend is anymore than the Scoobies do, isn't that right, Willow? I like your fics. I hope you continue A Little Compassion too. Excellent Start - I love how you got to so much action straight-away - Best of Luck with your new story - hope its a long one - I love to read the long sagas or novels works - and time travel makes me want to read it even more. Hope you get many readers - and that you are able to bring us regular updates - | |||
