Huh?????  I think the rest of your story got cut off and didn't post because I was reading along and suddenly it just stopped.  And there is no hint of it being an ending, so it doesn't make any sense.  Up until that point, it is a very strong, intriguing plot and I am fascinated by it, so I hope you will look at the posting and figure out what happened to the rest because I'm sure all your readers are eager to know, too!  Thanks!

Like the characterisation, a lot.  The characters are finely drawn and deeply credible.  Love the way Spike brings up the halloween spell.  But I'm not sure if I'm getting the ending.  I feel a little confused and hungry for something more.

you know that episode of the simpon's where the nerds move in with the family?  and bart and lisa are watching itchy and scratchy, and at a pivotal moment the tv is unplugged by a nerd and they scream in unison?  "plug it in, plug it in!  the tv! the tv!"  yeah.  i love this piece you've written, and the ambiguity and darkness of it is wonderful.  the form is especially nice, the memories woven in with the present works so well.
and to top it off,i feel like my tv just came unplugged.  good work.

Still love this. The ambiguity is wonderful. What would she decide? Could go either way, couldn't it?

No reviews yet? How about: Wow, that was intense. Somehow it seems appropriate that a creature who spent more than a century killing will not easily turn into a fluffy puppy. And the determined slayer can not simply fall for him. So though this is not something I "enjoy" like a nice little treat that is easy to digest, I like it. Thanks for sharing.
