Murdered by a Traitor and a Coward
Another great chapter which once again ended on a good cliffhanger.   One of the many things I like about your story is because of the AU nature I never know whats gonna happen next which is really refreshing with fanfic.  Having the mud just there to clean Buffy was great although I kinda expected it to bring back memories of Prophecy Girl and that short incident in Bad Girls.  Looking forward to the next chapter.
I'm glad I keep on surprising you! It's certainly different than anything I've ever read.

At this point, Buffy's flashbacks tend to be related to things involving Spike, because he's helping to set them off. She'll remember things from S7 long before she remembers the events of S1 or S3.

I hope the next chapter doesn't disappoint! And thanks for commenting!

The Dirt He Loved So Well

I didn't see this until I posted the next chapter! Anyway, I hope you like what happens next. :-)

The Dirt He Loved So Well
AHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Great stuff! I  enjoy your fic so much! I really hope Buffy will remember some good things soon! I also hope that the techno pagan is really Willow! or a descendant at least!

I also hope that Jo wasn't really held up, but figured that they needed some more alone/bonding time or something...
So glad that you like it!

No, the techno-pagan's not Willow. She'd have to be over a hundred years old, and there's a very specific reason that Buffy's survived this long without aging (much).

You'll learn more about where Jo was soon. :-)

Along the Passage
So glad to see an update of this fic. And to see that Buffy's memories are breaking through - at least enough for her to begin to appreciate what Spike may have meant to her.
The memories she's experiencing are pretty confusing at this point, but she's starting to understand that Spike's important to her. She just doesn't know why.

Thanks for sticking with me! :-)

Unbelievably great world-building!
Thank you! I've put a lot of work into the world building on the rewrite, so it's great to hear that you think it's swell. :-)

I really love this chapter and the reference to techno-pagans is a great throwback to what Jenny Calendar was and something that i felt they never truly explored.  Keep up the good work this is a great original take on a Buffy Dollhouse crossover
Glad you like the techno pagans! I think they work perfectly in this story, since I'm merging Dollhouse (which is straight up sci-fi) and Buffy (which is all magic and demons). I wish we had gotten more techno-pagans on the show.

I will certainly try!

Thank you for reviewing!

Food for Worms
loving this story! very original... this is my first dollhouse/buffy crossover.  Also, I grew up in DC so it's fun to see all places Buffy goes to.

Really starting starting ache for Buffy....  On the other hand - Adam's Organ? ROFLMAO
Buffy's in a bad place for sure.

Hee. I'm having too much fun with the setting! With that one, it's a combo of Madam's Organ and Adams Morgan, of course, but also a somewhat grosser play on Adam's Rib, which seemed apropos for a splice hang out. :-)

Happy Hunting
“She’s with me. If you have a problem with that, you lose body parts.”
Mr. Whiskers quivered. “B-but I need my body parts! All of them!”

Snicker. An informant who all but oozes cuteness in such a miserable, nasty place is as delightful as it is bizarre. More excellent world-building in this installment, too.

She was the Little Engine That Should Have Been Sold for Scrap Years Ago.

Ouch. That's downright painful and speaks volumes about Buffy's state of mind and her existence. And her need to 'forget about not remembering' is heartbreaking.
I'm glad you enjoyed my fuzzy wuzzy informant! I wrote him after creating a splice that's pretty darn disgusting, and I wanted something different. It's possible I was also overly influenced by zooborns.com.

Buffy definitely isn't in a good place. She has all these empty places eating at her, and she knows she's not right. Spike isn't filling in the blanks (though that's partly Buffy's fault) – he's making the fact that there are blanks more obvious.

Sorry! clicked submit before I'd written anything. *need more tea*
Just caught on (or just remembered) that they're running around under DC area. How fun. Not for them, obviously, but...  Those memories are poking their way out, aren't they?  And Spike is sleeping beside her... awwww.
Hee. Well, my cell phone reception always goes out on the metro, so it seemed apropos. :-)

And yep! Having Spike around is drawing all sorts of stuff out, even if Buffy's not 100 percent aware of it. Spike might be laying low, but he's not about to abandon his girl. Not that she entirely appreciates that right now ...

Interesting start, things never go easy for Spike. Keep it coming
You're right – our vamp saves the world, wakes up post-apocalypse and finds amnesia!Buffy. He's had better days for sure.

I'll do my best!
