Just lovely!  I would love to see more of this one. It's a really good idea. I've never read a post Chosen story where he comes back this way. I really, really loved it!

Good starter chapter.  I think you caught Buffy's despair well, and her willingness to step out of denial.  I especially liked the contrast between her attempt to communicate what had happened to Angel, and her ability to do so with Faith, without saying anything much at all.  Will be definitely interesting to see where you take it!

This is amazing and poignant.  I felt her pain.  Felt her  loss.  Felt the power of them reconnecting in a visceral way.
