Really enjoyed that exploration of Spike's insecurities, an internal hell of his own making--and also of his willingness to end it all.  Killing yourself to life is an interesting idea, and I really liked the resonance of using "the alley" to reach back to one of the worst times Buffy did the damage and walked away, now turned around to being the rescuer.  Good job.

Cool story - can't imagine working for Giles - that would be horrible.  Can't wait to see where you go with this.
