Okay that was beautiful! Buffy finally opening up completely pouring her heart out! But I have to know why they weren't always together? Did he leave on missions? Or did they just not trust each other enough to stay together all the time? I take it they are now though and it's perfect.

I re-wrote that one more than any other fic I've ever written. :D And I'm pretty sure there was an explanation at one point something around the lines of "to cover more ground (but not there was no ground left to cover), to keep sharp (but haven't they always done that for each other?) and to stay alive longer, keep from being too desirable a target (but they knew now that no matter how far apart.. if one fell, the other will follow)."
But, yeah, they got over being stubborn about it. :D Glad you enjoyed it!
