That was a nice ending, and you know what?  I want to see an ending something close to this just so I can stop reading sub-par comic books.

They're not really developing the characters any more at this point so...
Alright unneeded rant.  Comic fics just tend to wind me up.

Good job, I always dig your happy endings.
I'd like to see an ending like that too, but knowing Joss (and DH) it's not going to happen. Even if there were a temporary happy reunion, one or the other of them would have to die or something. :)

Happy Endings - That's been my main goal for my fics (most of them - I do have my depressing moments...) since I started trying to "fix" season 6 so very many years ago.  About all you can do with the comic story lines is use them as a starting point to go somewhere else happier. :)

Lovely Christmas prezzie...

Thank you. Christmas kind of calls for a happy ending, doesn't it?

So did the ship crash then, or is that your own device? (I don't read the comics)

Glad to see Buffy & Spike finally getting their act together, although I'm left feeling a little sorry for Dowling, even though I don't even know him!
LOL  Yes, in Spike's 5-issue comic, Sebastian had to crash the ship into Easter Island to save something or other (the world? Spike? I don't remember and too lazy to go look). So Spike no longer has his ship and bugs. Don't know what they're going to do with him when the comic starts up again, but of course we hope he comes back to Buffy.  He's already spent some time with Angel and Faith, but just help out with something going on there.
Dowling's a nice guy. Not sure where that's going to go, most likely no where. He didn't figure in the season finale (maybe he was killed by a slayer zompire? That might have happened... again, too lazy to go look) And he does know about Spike, so it's all canon-based if not exactly canon. :) I don't worry too much about following canon if/when I set a fic in that world because so many people either don't know or don't like what's going on there that no one's going to complain when I ignore it. LOL Mostly I just use that future as a setting and go off and do whatever I want with the characters.
