I like this story.   I really do.  However, I find that NOTHING CHANGES because of the presence of Buffy, Spike, etc...  That's unfortunate.  It seems to me that even one life might be saved, one campaign might be more successful because of their presence... 

You're talking two world saving warriors, here, in Buffy and Spike, not to mention the other Sunnydalers, all of whom are good at changing stuff, even if it's just by force of personality.  Surely their presence should have some effect?  If not, what's the point of the crossover, other than a change of venue... 

As I said, I like the story, because it is pleasant and I love LOTR, but the point of a crossover is that the presence of new people will change things, otherwise, you're not writing your own story, you're just reworking the original.  Instead of new words and experiences, you put the words of other characters into Spike's mouth...  and even have him experience things that other characters did in the original...  So it ends up being quite derivative of the original instead of new ideas.  I do hope the last episode will vary this some...  I write crossovers, so I was very hopeful when I foudn this here.  Anyway, onto story 3.

When I first read the summary for your stories (this one and the first book)I skipped over them without any interest - even though I love the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I've read other meldings of spuffy and shows/movies that were'nt good.

I am soooo glad that I gave these a chance. I absoluty love how you blended Spike and the gang in without losing the integrity or characterization of either collection of characters - or the actual trilogy itself.

I actually went back and watched the trilogy again on dvd and it was so easy to insert Spike and Buffy according to your story I found myself doing it unconsciously.

I am very much looking forward to Book Three.

Wow, I'm absolutely intrigued by your crossover. Just the perfect balance of 2 shows to not let 1 overshadow the other, tho its definitely leaning towards LOTR since its in a Middle Earth setting.

I really wish to read your Part 3 soon, and hope that Buffy will have more of an active role in this.

I know your fic is more Spikcentric than Spuffy, but it would be nice to see more Buffy-action, you know? She has all that Slayer abilities... Doesn't make her really weaker than any of them.

You manaaged to sum up, in a few short chapters, one of the best sequels ever made -- and with additions never imagined by their creators. I am suitably impressed. This is just soo bloody good. . . So I guess this means the third Book will be coming soon?

First time I read this, I completely missed the reference to Spike in the arrival of Haldir and the elvish forces -- that's how smooth it was. I am so tickled with this story. . . I'm like a little kid, only next time I watch the movies, I'm going to be looking for the Buffyverse additions. . . LOL. Great work sweetie. . .

Oohhh. . . so instead of Aragorn taking that long fall, you've replaced him with Spike. . . so does that mean Eowyn will be taken with our blond rather than Aragorn? Or will you follow the movie script? I'm curious now to see how this plays out. You're moving right along and getting quickly to the near end of the second film. . . will Buffy follow Merry and Pippin and destroy Isengard. . . . and when will Buffy and Spike reunite?

I think spike is gonna be okay, since a human(aragon) survived the fall in the movie then a supernatural being(spike) would also be okay.
