Wow, great updates!! Just read the last four chapters and I have to say...I love them!! So glad that Buffy/Spike are married and he's a champion of the Slayers and Guardians. And the end of this one...woohoo....love the Angel stuff. Glad you mentioned the cookie dough, too. Can't wait for more!

Yes, well. I wholeheartedly understand your view, V. I share it as well. But, I liked the image of him sitting there, on the floor, watching his friends, Buffy and even his errant grandchilde (lol) walk out the door without caring about him.
Wonderful....in my imagination Gunn comes to his senses and joins them shortly afterward.

This was absolutely fabulous. I loved how Buffy walked in and informed everyone of exactly what was going on. I liked that they freed Wes, Fred, and Lorne. I really loved how protective Dana is and Dawn telling Angel that he was beneath Buffy was perfect. And I loved Andrew’s reaction to Spike being alive. Thanks for a great story.

I loved the surprise of Dawn being there, and how she greeted Dana was perfect. That was really a wonderful ritual, and I loved Dawn's way of letting Spike know that she wants a human ceremony for him and Buffy.
I had to bring Dawn back. It was fitting that she was in the second chapter and then to reemerge in the next to last chapter. I'm all for symmetry. And of course, Dawn wants the whole she-bang for her sis.

hmmm... I liked it. My only complaint is that it feels just a bit rushed. Coulda mebbe padded it out a tic, added some more crazy Dana, given us the Spike called Dawn scene, things like that.

Originally I decided to contain this story in 12 chapters. It was written for Seasonal Spuffy, and I didn't want it too long. That being the case, I wanted to focus on moving the story forward. Some stuff, like Spike or Clem calling Dawn, could easily be done off screen if you will. Besides, her appearance was written as a surprise for Buffy and for the reader.
As for exploring Dana's madness and eventual healing. Senaya's bonding with Dana only went so far. In the eventual sequel, I'll explore this more and what actually happened to her. Like I put in my previous response to your review of the previous chap, I'm loving this little universe I've created. Not sure I'm ready to let go quite yet.

Lots about Angel's way of doing good would cause at least a raised eyebrow from Buffy...although the way she is now would be better able to see the grey areas he dealt with.

PERFECT! This was an excellent ritual claiming. Unique slant on it, and very romantic. I like how she respected Dru's Sire marks. Her willingness to let him eradicate Angel's marks was even more perfect. It showed that she respected his link to his Sire, but that she had no respect or desire to have any mark of Angel remain on her.

Love it when those two are playful. I like how you had Spike stop them before it went to far because he wanted to be sure that Buffy knew it couldn't be like before. I liked seeing him stand up for himself like that, even when he wanted her so badly.

I am glad that Lydia survived the explosion, I liked her. I like that Buffy and Spike are talking about their previous problems and not just sweeping them under the rug. And again, I love the fun in their relationship.
I loved Lydia. If I decided to actually do a sequel, she'll be featured.
Great idea to take Dana to the one place that will prevent her from doing any physical damage. Love her thought about being as public as needed where Spike is concerned (and is Giles going to be in the office LOL? The Watcher would either have his head explode or would pass out!).
Love Bruce and his name fits with the way demon characters seemed to be named on the show....anything but monsterous LOL.

I enjoyed Clem's exuberance at seeing Spike again, and I loved Buffy teasing Spike about biting. I enjoyed the fun that they were having with each other and how natural it was. I think you are showing perfectly what their relationship could have been had she felt that she could allow it, the true enjoyment of each other.

ooo ... like that greeting from Dana. Glad she recognizes either Buffy's scent, tinglies, or face. Good chapter. I like the parts with Clem. That little whisper on the wind, possibly from Anyanka, was a nice touch too. I like how you are handling everything. I enjoy the story.

Thank you for including Anya in this chapter, and I'm glad that Clem is still here, he is the best. :) It's nice that Buffy seems to have gotten to Dana in time. I am really enjoying this story. Oh, by the way the first sentence in the second paragraph down in this last section the word the is missing the t.
I'm all about saving Spike's precious hands :D Plus, Dana remains an innocent from murder this way. And that's for the typo heads up.

Love how Angel may well be the Powers Champion but Spike belongs to the Slayers and Guardians....that makes lots of sense too.
Adore Clem in any story....I think Buffy has chosen wisely who to trust and who not to at this point.

good, i hate angel.
Glad she set Dawn straight about it to a degree. She really doesn't owe a play by play to anyone but at the same time as Xander made his view "public knowledge" it's only right for Buffy to say SOMETHING. I believe Dawn would have regretted the way that last year went for so many reasons. Nice.

Buffy correcting herself on Spike doing something stupid made me chuckle. This chapter is really great, and I am glad that Buffy finally sat Dawn down and explained things to her. Her not trusting Angel is a very good thing. :D
Yeah, I felt that was really missing from that last year. It was all about the First and less about their inter-relationships.

Wonderful flash backs as well as moving the story forward. That was a nice way to show that she's moving along with the flight and arriving in LA ... but also showing us what happened before. I think you have the characters down excellently, as you always do.

Ohhhhhh loving this! Don't know how I missed it when you posted it but am off to devour it now. Lovely opener. Nice that now Buffy isn't fighting Senaya...maybe she has finally come to terms with the Slayer aspect of her nature at long last. Tara is always the most perfect mediator IMHO...balanced and love filled and rarely judgemental if ever.
