Very sad, but at least it was Buffy that the blame completely and utterly falls on.

I like that Spike finally stood up for himself using the truth of everything that had gone on between them. I really loved how he told her that he would not be the monster that her and her friends claim him to be, that he was above that. It was really a beautiful statement and one that he had actually been practicing for some time.

I like your version of Seeing Red. It was not fluffy but it was nice having Spike stand up for himself. I think you could write more but Buffy should be honest with herself. The angst for both parties was there. Great job.

Yes, would've loved to have Spike leave with his dignity and Buffy broken, but then we wouldn't of had Season 7 and him ensouled. Good one shot.

I really enjoyed this story. I get so tired of the continual 'kick the Spike' that goes on in the show and in a lot of fics. I love all things Spuffy of course but its good to see Buffy get taken down a peg or two sometimes... especially if it helps her to realize the value of Spike and how unfair they've treated him.

Is there any more to this story? Great job so far.
