I like evil-challenged Spike. ^_^ His and Dawn's dynamic is so cute.

 

You have to love Spike when he's looking out for his girls. Even more when he does it even when he's getting yelled at for no good reason. Glad he could help them see they need to be focusing on each other and trying to deal with the pain of losing Joyce. Very surprised that Buffy agreed to invite him over, as I'm sure Dawn was as well

This ended with tears in my eyes and a smile on my face. I loved Spike’s speech to Dawn and how he helped her understand her sister more. I’m glad that Buffy over-heard it and her talk with Spike was nice. Loved Dawn asking to invite Spike over and that Buffy agreed.

Finally! she got something right for a change. Leave it to Dawn to try and mend the fences with Spike. She likes him and she knows how much he likes Buffy. Good idea, hope they'll be left alone by the scoobies. Going to read the sequel. Thanks for this heart warming fic.

Excellent Dawn - just as bone-headed as she can be. Good Spike, too, remembering the not so nice guy he used to be.

i commented on this at your lj, but this story really is just awesome...so very true to the characters, beautifully done...you've captured season six buffy and spike perfectly...if a bit more pleasantly than was the sad reality...*sigh* great job :)

Oh this would have been so right onscreen. Love Spike's evil days confessions. We all love him so much (rightly) that we forget he did his fair share of nastiness while living down to his princess' standards. You wonderfully show his inner changes without any deep soul(less) searching on his part. Nice, spot on characterizations with warm Spuffy ike moment at the end.
