Great reading this again - One story element I really liked was the lack of Buffy Bitchy Angst & Turmoil - having her accept this child and Spike pretty much for the start - even with the magical beer claiming was a very nice contrast to some of the heavy angst/child acceptance I've read.

I loved this, it was entertaining to see all of our favorite characters make an appearance, even Dawn!  And it was really cool to have the trio as good guys for once!  Best line: Broke your neck.

I loved this story and how you tied so aspects from other seasons--like the Trio and such. I was quite relieved when Joyce was pregnant and not sick, always good to end on a happy note. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel (and I wonder if Spike's emptiness involves the missing spark...)

Joy does have a very unusal family tree. I had wondered if the Council wasn't the one behind the Initiative, it would be something they'd do, the studying of demons but now Adam's after Spike, Hope Faith doesn't team up with Adam after she's released. Well, bless Jonathan's heart. I never did see him as part of the "evil trio". Now to see if Faith is grateful, or turns around and bites the hand outstretched to help her. Drusilla considering herself a grandmother to Buffy and Spike's baby--that's a creepy thought, but if it keeps her in line and non-bitey, I'm all for it.

    Good bit, Spike praying to "whomever was listening". In seven years of BtVS, many demons were worshiped & various Attributes entreated, but as far I remember, Spike was the only person, human or demon, to address GOD. of course, it was just that once...

Loved the chapter. My only nitpick was the slap on the name Constance. My niece, age 34, is named Constance so it's not so old fashioned after all. Still some Connie's in this world.

Loved the Angel/Spike moment, and the fact that neither would ever let on. Hope you get Faith out of there soon -though I don't think she's much on anyone else's mind right now.

Yup, the Summers women are strong women and so will be the newest addition. Poor Spike, feeling so helpless where the girls are concerned. Surprised at how Angel is being there for both of them. Conflicted about Faith, as much as she needs to pay for what she's done to Buffy, no woman desereves that. Great work, thanks for the update.

 When we were first together, she was hesitant— so innocent and pure. I made sure to be extra gentle. (Faith!?!?!)

Two days after I was released from the hospital, we became intimate again, and again, then intimate some more... (I loved your idea of intimacy:))

They thought I was some sort of a "demon messiah." (:D*LOL*:D)

So Faith's back! When did she ever get emotional to a man besides the mayor? Is she trying to switch bodies again? Why would she want to be pregnant in the first place? What's wrong with those people, they know what the Initiative does and with the way Riley was already feeling about her, guess that was what Giles and Xander were hoping for. Riley would get rid of him for them. Solve their little problem nice and neat. Why weren't they keeping a eye on Faith anyway. She was after Buffy for a reason. Didn't they mention Faith to Riley as being the one who attacked Buffy in the first place? Something's just not right, they're aren't this careless where Buffy is concerned, specially a pregnant Buffy!      This is really rich stuff!  I appreciate your having both Giles and Joyce being at their best in the same story ( which it seemed was impractical in the television version of the Hellmouth saga). And, yeah, hurray for having Willow & Xander not be all racist (speciesist?) when they both so dig the demons themselves.

Poor Spike, everyone always assumes the worst.

Oh yay, definately continuing to enjoy. So Riley thought that he could just move in on her when all she wanted was to be friends? This is not going to be good for Spike. He's got the Initiative to watch out for and he doesn't even know it. Unless they follow him around they'll hopefully think he's human since he walks in daylight. Joyce is right Spike needs to be there for the baby's demon. Oh wait until Giles hears that Spike's connecting with the baby's demon. I imagine that he was hoping that the baby would be all human. It's going to be hard explaining pink milk the bottles. Yup, enjoying the heck out of this. Thanks D.

What was Faith's damage? Great way for Spike to come back into her life and he knows that it's his baby. His demon knew, awesome! Between William and his demon, don't know which one is happier. Can't wait 'til Buffy wakes up and sees how happy he is. Glad she didn't get to close to Riley, he just wasn't for her. Excellent chapter, thanks.

Not sure you should have switched to Giles diary instead of writing the scene out. That's a big scene that deserves lots of writing - also, since you didn't do it before it kind of bumps you out of the story flow. Good stuff though. I like to see the scene where Buffy figures out she's pregnant, then obsesses on that a while, then obsesses, could it be Parkers? then figures out that the baby is all demony - how does she know?

I like your version of the Parker punching incident much better than the original. I also like that she woke up in his arms--big points to Spike for that.
