I just started reading Buffy fan fiction, and really LOVED this!    I really hope you will finish this someday soon.    This is one of the Best fan fictions I have read so far.

you really write the characters very well, capturing their personalities, speaking style, mannerisms...excellent chapter, love, and i'm so looking forward to reading that conversation between tara and buffy!!!!

Good story. I'm enjoying it. I'm glad Dawn wasn't too harsh on Buffy after the talk they had. Can't wait to see how the conversation between Tara and Buffy will go.

I love the interaction between Buffy, her sister and Willow, even. I hope she will get some help for her magic problem in this story before it is too late. Please don't let Tara die, please!

Sorry my reading and reviewing the last chpt was so late but this story has utterly captivated me in so many ways. I love how Dawn was used to help wake Buffy up to what she is doing to herself and everyone else who truly loves her. I want to see her really lay into Willow, Xander, Anya and Tara (who should have known better) for bringing her back like that. Esp Xander, the bigot.

Ooo, yay, truth from both of them at the same time! Can't run away from it now. Buffy can stay the way she's been, but there's no way she can delude herself about it anymore. Go see a therapist, Buff, like everybody else does.

Loved it, your Buffy is sympathetic and I wish her conversation with Dawn had actually happened on the show. In season 5, it is so evident how much Buffy loves Dawn, and in season 6 it seemed to disappear with all her other troubles. Love how you're making it better.

So glad Buffy is trying to open up to Dawn and come to terms with her actions, we never did see an apology for that beating and Spike certainly deserved one. Dawn is very good at bringing Buffy back down to earth and dosing her with reality. More please.

Your Dawn is insightful and a little unforgiving. “He said it was a demon, but it wasn’t… was it?” Her tone was accusing.

I was so glad to see Dawn giving Buffy a piece of her mind; I love a well written Dawn, and yours is very good. No whining or screaming, just emotion. Really great! But no Spike??!!?? What are you doing to me?? LOL!

One could only wish that this had really happened during the show...Joss was not smart to my way of thinking...

Spike really could have helped Buffy but the writers had to go and screw that up royally! This is such a wonderful way of retelling a pivotal moment in spuffy history and I thank you for it!

Good to see Spike make a stand -- all or nothing! Hopefully a wake-up call for Buffy.

I would also add to his "I hope List" that he also has the resolve to carry this through to a solution for himself as well - they can both "make it out," maybe not his chip problem but being a partner in this insane relationship is something he can do.

What next?

Yeah! All through S6 I prayed for Spike to grow a pair!!! Oops, did I say that out loud?! (hee-hee). Finally, we're seeing the Spike that we were denied for the better part of the show; the Spike that COULD have pulled Buffy out of her depression. Congratulations on another great chapter; I'm waiting for the next with bated breath. BTW, you capture Spike's voice beautifully.

Great chapter, think it will take Buffy some time to realize what she needs, but I'm hopeful she gets there :)

this has to be one of the best descriptions of their horrendous and tragic alley encounter I have read - bravo for the excellent work.

Funny how things work out - I have been thinking of this scene and wanting to do some digital studies from it - worked on 2 variations last night from her DTngs dream sequence - Call it "Thinking of Murders and Suicide"

that's heartbreaking, love...so sweet and sad, and you've captured their emotions very realistically, too...i love this and can't wait to read more :)

Finally, Buffy apologizing for what she did...about time and yet, being a major Spuffy fan, I know she needs his love and his backbone in standing up to her.
